I think the judgement of close games is all wrong for chases. Wickets don't matter. It is how many overs left. If you haven't finished the game by 45 overs, then it is close enough. The fans are worried that the bowler could bowl a maiden over and are counting every run. That is close.

Anything can happen in any particular game, but if any Kiwi fans think Pakistan are a bogey team then they're of a negative mind set.
ATM NZ are leaps and bounds ahead of Pakistan in all departments of the game.
So being of the optimistic nature, I'm thinking we're going to well and truly deal with them, because we probably should do tbh.

India was in danger but as long as Kohli was there, India would have still won. Shami can bat a bit and so can Bumrah. Not sure about Kuldeep. Siraj is a dud.
We won't qualify with 4 wins, or there'd have to be some sort of weird **** go down for that to happen.
No interest in Gambhiring...we should be favourites against Pakistan and certainly Sri Lanka. And we would be too against Australia, if it wasn't Australia.
2 wins, hopefully qualify 2nd or 3rd, play South Africa in the semis. They're a hell of a threat, but beatable.

SL have nothing to lose now so they will be even more than dangerous than ever before and all pressure will be on NZ. And we all know NZ is not that great when it comes to dealing with pressure.
