SL have nothing to lose now so they will be even more than dangerous than ever before and all pressure will be on NZ. And we all know NZ is not that great when it comes to dealing with pressure.
if the only team to make 2 of the last 2 finals is bad under pressure, what does that make everyone else? If you say the finals show they're bad under pressure then I think you're just punishing them for making it further than the teams they beat. Australia at home were always hot favourites, and England at home were hot favourites who NZ did not lose to. NZ were not fancied leading into 2019 with the openers being poor and the icing being flakey. They made it on the power of the bowling attack and the middle order (especially KW).

NZ have their limitations and I picked them to miss the semis pre-tournament but they're in a very good position now. I expect to lose a semi final but I will be miffed not to make it from here.

Agree with this line of thought. Indian team also gets unfairly derided for losing in semis/finals in the last few ICC tournaments but it is actually to their credit that they did make the semis or finals ahead of all the other teams that were competing.

Yep, I'd rather choke in a semi than go 27 years without making one (even if we did then at least win the whole thing). And now the whole process starts again....

SL aren't dangerous. They just aren't good enough. I'd be much more concerned with Banglas or Afghanistan than SL these days. Sad fall for SL cricket

AA's opinions are more of an entertainment value kind of thing than an informative kind of thing in my experience

With some rough code, these are the current percentages I get for semi-final chances.

India 99.91% when they still have to play SA and Eng? Aus 64.01% when they can beat NZ (92.33%) on Sat and jump above them to 3rd. I wouldn't be using this to make bets 😀

Edit: oops thought of it as % to top table lol
