England IS going to smash us, though. I can just feel it.
If you just look at the anyway sentence, maybe, but to me it reads like someone who thinks we don’t play anywhere near enough of it.Haven't noticed it on CW but Joe Root's comments did come across a little like that to me tbf, especially his use of the word "anyway".
t20s are like rubbing one out. good at the moment but forgettableIs anyone that interested in T20is? I watch them, but they are not particularly interesting (even the WT20).
It depends what he was asked I guess. The word 'anyway' kind of read to me like he was asked something like 'So things aren't looking good, huh?' and he said 'Well no-one cares about this format anymore anyway lol'If you just look at the anyway sentence, maybe, but to me it reads like someone who thinks we don’t play anywhere near enough of it.
This gives better context imoIt depends what he was asked I guess. The word 'anyway' kind of read to me like he was asked something like 'So things aren't looking good, huh?' and he said 'Well no-one cares about this format anymore anyway lol'
If he was asked about the future of it and gave his honest opinion, totally fair enough. But I don't think he'd have used the word anyway if that was the case. Maybe reading too much into it.
Yeah that makes much more sense. Thanks! This gives better context imo
Joe Root calls for increase in 50-over cricket if England are to thrive again
The former England captain said the team are struggling after playing so few ODIs and defended the ‘incredible’ Jos Buttler amid World Cup struggleswww.theguardian.com
I prefer franchise t20 cricket way more than the international t20s. Even though franchise cricket feels it’s died down a bit.Is anyone that interested in T20is? I watch them, but they are not particularly interesting (even the WT20).
Appologise immediately......questions to answer etc.Yeah that makes much more sense. Thanks!
Looks like he did have questions to answer and proceeded to answer them.Appologise immediately......questions to answer etc.
The infographic that someone posted looked at >10-ball chases and less than 30 run (?) wins...and there's only been one, which was the Afghanistan one, which as you say isn't really that close. India NZ was with two overs to go, not really that close. So have we had any close games this world cup besides the Ind-NZ one?
Does Pak-Afg count despite it being a comfortable 8 wicket win?
