SL could end up on 5 wins and so could Pak and NZ. Battle for 4th is not over.

SL have Afg, India, Ban, NZ.
If they can beat Afg, Ban & NZ.. they'd have their 5 wins.

For PAK to get 5 wins they have to beat 3 of SA, NZ, ENG and BAN.

For SL to get 5 wins they have to beat 4 of ENG, IND, AFG, BAN and NZ

For NZ to get 5 wins they'd have to lose 3 of AUS, PAK, SA and SL

I can't see any of those scenarios happening and more likely NZ will be 4th with 6 wins

I feel it depends on NZ whether they lose 3 in a row or not vs Aus, SA and Pak.

IMO India, Aus and SA should get there. Just a little uncertain about NZ.

I don’t see any reasonable way Nz lose all three.
Aus have always beaten NZ.
Pak have almost always beaten NZ especially when it mattered the most.
SA one is more 50-50.

So far NZ have won 4 games vs Eng, Ned, Ban, Afg.

So I don't think they have been properly tested. Those 4 teams are currently 9th, 10th, 8th and 7th. Yep the bottom 4 teams.

England could still have a big say on who qualifies, chances are they'll click in one of the games, especially with no pressure on. They'd always want to beat Australia.

I only see Pakistan as a chance of taking a top 4 spot now. Sri Lanka and Afghanistan can get the upset here and there but they aren’t very consistent.

Babar will make sure that they are not. The guy is the most hopeless captain I have seen. Has 0 sense of initiative. Has no idea when to and when not to rotate bowlers. When to attack and when to hold back. Just lets things meander and makes the game slip away even when in decent situations.

I actually think this team is not that bad, but the captaincy is just woeful. Worse, it affects Babar's own batting as well. The only way Pakistan can get somewhere is if Babar isn't captain. Unfortunately, that is not happening.

Yeah don’t see it happening as well they’ll have to probably win every game. We might get a lot of meaningless group games soon.

Today was Game 25, the first semi will be Game 43.....that's a whole 20 days away still.
Yeah could be actual curtains for the group stages if Pakistan lose to South Africa tommorow. It’s going to be hard for Afghanistan and Sri Lanka to win 3 out of 4 games to qualify. I guess this one the Mai negatives of having this format
