What are the NRRs like right now between NZ and IND? Unless they're gonna go the way of the VB series and do a backtrack and see who performed better in their head to head matches which would see NZ into the final wouldn't it?
Well India & NZ are each on ten points. India will vs NZ in the final qualifying game in Hyderabad (15/11/03) in which the winner will progress to the final.

If the game is a no result, then NZ will go into the final because of their better head to head record in the qualifying games against India.

We'll soon change that ;)

Wait till Rik and I have a disagreement - we haven't had one for a while! ;)
Well, a little spice doesn't hurt :)

And I notice you are a big fan of Agarkar's. Hmm...I must admit you are the first one I've met (living in Canada, you don't see many cricket fans, let alone Agarkar fans.)

Australia are unbelievable. What did they call themselves coming into this tournament? Underdogs?

A second string bowling side with top 4 bowlers missing (Warney included) and still a 5-1 record......simply mind boggling!!!

India pay for ignoring AA - how many times will they drop him and lose?
Oh absolutely.

Sehwag needs to regain some confidence and along Zaheer Khan and Nehra or India have lost their Test against Australia before they land in Australia.

AA is a bit of a hero on here - many people follow him (possibly the most popular player amongst forum members?)

What a great victory by Australia :D

Gilchrist's 111 off 104 balls and Ponting's 108 off 103 balls made the Indian bowling attack look very, very poor.

Martyn and Hayden also provided good support.
Make the Indian attack look very very weak? It IS very very weak...

While Gilchrist and Ponting will get the plaudits, I think thet special mention should go to the bowling of Kasprowicz. He conceded only 37 off his 10 overs on that pitch which is brilliant. Maybe Bichel should be looking over his shoulder.

india's weak attack

yes, rik the indian attack is weak but no weaker
than the English attack which allowed Ait Agarkar to score a
test hundred against them !

The comparisons between Ashish Nehra & Wasim Akram are absolute cr*p if you ask me...sure Nehra has a similar bowling action to Akram, but thats where it starts & ends.

haha the indian bowling wasnt the only problem, their feilding was nto worthy of first class cricket, let alone ODI cricket

Ganguly is a disgrace in the field, as captain he should be setting an example..instead he fields at mid on to be extra careful and yet he still can't stop one going straight at him.

I heard the commentators say he stands there to talk to the bowlers, fair point but he also stands there because he's the worst fielder in the team.

I did not get the tickets for the match :( . Stood in the line from 7.00 AM and i was already a 1/2 km back from the counter . The sale of tickets started at 10.30 , continued till 11.15 AM and it was declared that the tickets were sold out. I was still a long way down the line. So there goes another chance of watching a match down the drain:yawn:

Well I think to save this series from being a one-sided bore..at least we're going to see technically what is a semi-final between India & NZ.

Dont you just love being Australian at times like these?!:D

I was very proud of Marto, didnt let me down again :), and Kaspo's bowling was better than his figures show.

Hey, and Tim, its not THAT one-sided. Aussies did lose ONCE!:P
