This thread is far more up to date than Cricinfo, Lara's only faced 1 ball so far according to them.

EDIT: He only faced two in total, haha! :D

Yeah, when I didn't have TV, I'd use CW to find out when a wicket fell or a six happened, and then I'd wait for cricinfo to see the details.

Goodness me, what is the point of having the third umpire if the on field umpires aren't going to use them?

Poor decision.

Yeah, perhaps the umpire decided it was plumb. They obviously got that wrong, to me it was almost definitely missing leg (though watching it for the first time I thought it was out)

Lol turn it up. Lara played a very lazy shot.
Give the guy some credit. He bowled a consistent line, kept it tight, and he had Sangakkara playing awkwardly in the air in that region twice - as well as the one that went straight up that Katich should have taken.

Yeah to be fair he is bowling nicely. I am impressed.

Looking at Brackens stats, he has a very good ODI record.
Yeah, 18 matches, 29 wickets at 19.65 with an econ at 3.9. I'm not sure why he hasn't been in the team for so long (his last match was in November of 2003 [8 overs, 1/15 in India])

You're right, they should have. And I'm sure part of the point of the trial would be to give the concept a fair workout. Having said that, I felt quite confident at the time he was struck, and after watching the replays, I still think it was out.

Watson looks a very ordinary cricketer to me, or at least he doesn't have the x-factor for international cricket.

He appears overrawed when he bats, and his bowling is quite short and wide at times. I can't see Australia having too much patience with him..but I think they need to because they haven't got many options for all-rounders.
