Chelsea sign Salomon Kalou from Feyenoord.

Goodbye SWP, this lad has just taken away any chance you ever had at a regular Chelsea spot. The kid is an awesome talent.

If, as expected, they get Shevchenko to go with Ballack and Kalou, then....well, it's going to be a very boring season for non-Chelsea fans. Again.
How did Kalou ever get a work permit, since he has never been picked for the Ivory Coast (never wanted to originally I mean) and had his application for Dutch Citizenship revoked because he hasn't been in The Netherlands long enough and because his Dutch knowledge and language skills weren't up to task (did he sit at home playing the X-Box when the classes were on?).

I was reading on the Channel 4 website (reading for the Italian news) and Milan will look to use the Shevcehnko money (should the move to Chelsea goes ahead as expected) to fund a replacement for Shevea being David Sauzo from Cagliari (you might remember him for his 20+ plus goals and being one of the 26,000 players linked with a move to Old Trafford) and then to buy Steven Gerrard

Yep I'm going to win the Tour de France in July 8-)

Don't think so.

It'll be another Howard, mark my words.

(ie the big club gets the permit on some obscure and unlikely technicality - Howard's was because he was due to be marry a Bulgarian and Bulgaria were supposed to be made members of the EU in 2007 - which incidentally they're now not...)
It was Hungary :p

So Hungary won't be joining the EU anytime soon?

lol @Shevchenko's reasons for moving to Chelsea
If he wanted to learn English he could just go to classes to learn the language, that's what Hernan Crespo did apparently when he was on loan at Milan, he took English lessons every day while he was there according to the guy who runs the Stadium tours (couldn't resist in bagging out Robert Pires every time he could  ) because Crespo and Robben are supposely best mates. And it is not as though he can't afford it either.

As for not speaking English, then how come he was in an ESPN ad where he is talking to an American guy and Shevea is speaking English?

Cleote might know what I'm talking about or those who have access to the station.

As for Shaun Wright-Phillips, wouldn't Chelsea be kind of obliged to get him with this new UEFA home grown rule lark to come in next season with the two club trained and three country trained players?

So far it is (trained by Chelsea):

Pidgeley
Terry
Huth

Home Grown:

Wright-Phillips
C. Cole (I don't think he came from their youth acadamy to count)
J. Cole
Johnson
Lampard
Bridge

I don't think Diarra counts since he came from Le Havre

Pothas - what are your views on Martin Allen supposedly being on his way to the mighty whites? 8-)

His wife wants their son to grow up in an English speaking environment.

Martin Allen resinged from Brentford this week. A total disaster for the club, he had done a brilliant job taking them from relegation candidates to into the play offs for the last two years. Wouldnt have anything against him moving on somewhere better but he has been linked with Tramnere which i really dont understand.

Just gave you my answer.

I know Tramere are a bigger club than Brentford but it is a bit of a kick in the teeth for him to move to a club that came well below the bees last year. If he went to a club like palace i could have no complaints. Wherever he goes he has done a brilliant job but as usual Brentford have had a decent go at promotion and failed, they will now in all probability fall back into lower mid table. The same happened after they lost the playoff final to Stoke and Coppell left.

I have been checking the website and there is actualy confusion over whether he has gone or not. The radio said the other day that he had resigned but the Brentford website says that he is still under contract. Still I think it is very unlikely that he will be there at the start of next season.

Really doesnt look like it. Despite superkingdaves reaction to Ronny Moore leaving Oldham i would be pretty happy if Brentford could get him. Not sure if he would come to london though, Ian Holloway is out of a job as well.

ronnie moore is an excellent coach, even if he is a bit of an egotist, if brentford can get either him or holloway they will be doing very well.
