Interestingly enough - FIFA want the FA to investigate Arsenal's dealing with Belgian side Beveren on whether or not Arsenal having been giving some 'assistance finicially'.

David Dien being voted off the FA Board to be replaced by David Gill, Jason Roberts is a target of Besiktas, Chelsea have finally one out in that they will sign young Nigerian John Obi Mikel, although it could cost then up to £12million as compensation to Man Utd!

I suppose that is £12million towards another midfielder, probably towards somebody like Emerson (who they would need), or look for Andrea Pirlo or Gennaro Gattuso. Of course there is Lyon's Diarra. For that amount, do Chelsea really need him and where are they going to put him in? With them signing Michael Ballack as well, I don't know he is really needed, but then I don't know good he is (Hakon would know), except being listed as a 'talented midfielder'.

Is Mourinho out to recruit an African XI?

I had dinner with peter Kenyon on Saturday and he told me that Chelsea's long-term plan is to actually buy every single Professional footballer, and the FA will therefore grant them 114 points every year and the Premiership trophy, however, they will have to face a string of amateur sides in the FA Cup though, they will also be awarded the Champions League automatically every year. The Football League had no choice but to disband meaning no League cup.

The FIFA World Cup will also be held at Stamford Bridge every four years as all players of all nations will know this ground better than any other and it will make the competition fair!

Hurray, does that mean the CDMs will finally stop getting preferential treatment from the FA or is David Gill a CDMs lackey as well?

David Gill's a Man Utd lackey. I don't know what your nickname for them is.

Ah good, I don't care if other teams get preferential treatment just as long as the CDMs don't get it.

Believe he is on holiday in Ireland.
Indeed I was - Mrs LE walked me into the ground (that's not a typo).

We had the most amazing weather for late May - early June, with wall-to-wall sunshine for the last 5 days. We spent Saturday in Blarney where the temperature reached an almost unbelievable 30°C.

I spent the entire week blissfully unaware of anything happening in the world, refusing to buy a paper or log onto t'internets - I didn't even know Billy Davies had got the Rams job until last night.

Latest news Gareth Southgate is the new manager of Middlesborough - well for the time being. A big gamble indeed since he has zero management/coaching experience at the top level and IMO if he wanted to become a manager he should have gone looking for work in the lower divisions and go from there, or should have gone abroad and expanded his horizons a little bit, but good luck to him should everything be ok, he will certaintly need it.

Sol Campbell could be off to join Anelka in Turkey at Fenerbahce, although I don't know who they will sign as Campbell's replacement and Real Madrid President Artulo Baldasano has said that Sven-Goran Eriksson will be the new Real Madrid manager, with Vicente del Bosque as the Director of Football, with Joaquin Sanchez (Betis) and Jose Antonio Reyes to join Real Madrid.

In other Real Madrid news Mancheter United want Madrid to offficially open their new stadium expansion, which would mean David Beckham would return back to Old Trafford.

The other one being Fabio Capello to return to Real Madrid and practically the Juventus squad with him.
