Mahelo imo... as awesome as Herath was, getting 180 when none of your teammates get even 30 is truly an epic preformance.'played Sri Lanka. Herath or Mahela for MOTM?

Remember when I was home for Christmas and Sky run that special, “England On top of the World” with Andrew Strauss wearing the whitest shirt I have ever seen and Ian Ward wearing more makeup than my missus. All went downhill from there.Bloody hell whats going on here? last time i checked Trott and Prior were in cruise control and SL's attack looked utterly fruitless, now all of a sudden England are on the brink of defeat? *smh* i can't believe England have let it slip like this, and to think this team was getting compared to the great WI and Australian teams of the past .
Got to be Mahela.'played Sri Lanka. Herath or Mahela for MOTM?
There is a separate thread for this question dudeIndia or England as the worst number 1 side of all-time?
As of now India..guess it comes down to a farcical showdown between the two in India later this year. You have a defeat against SA to swallow before that though.Remember when I was home for Christmas and Sky run that special, “England On top of the World” with Andrew Strauss wearing the whitest shirt I have ever seen and Ian Ward wearing more makeup than my missus. Strauss will be finished soon but who to replace him with? And do England just give KP and Bell byes as the West Indies are next and free runs are on offer?

Yeh, a lot of runs against Englands bowling is far more impressive than a lot of wickets against Englands batting
Boycott on Day 1 absolutely laid into him, Mum and all. Looks a bit silly now but let’s not forget in county cricket, Herath was nothing more than a journeyman who done **** all. Can’t argue with the figures or the performances since Murali retired though, stepped up.Herath, within 3 months knocked over the number 1 & 2 ranked teams.
tbh I think we'll smash SA at home and then get smashed in IndiaAs of now India..guess it comes down to a farcical showdown between the two in India later this year. You have a defeat against SA to swallow before that though.
Stop jinxing England dude, you were on about England during the Pak-Eng series too
I stand vindicated in both the posts aboveCWB is gun tbh.....he thought that Bell in the first innings was a fluke and it turns out he is right
Do we really think we have the mental toughness to make runs against Steyn and Phillander? They're shot. Had it easy against Aus & India and can't hope with anything demanding. Really, I'd happily see 2 or 3 of the top 6 FRO.tbh I think we'll smash SA at home and then get smashed in India
dude, the pollyanna crowd won't come here, not now at least.....they will have a hard time accepting the factsSad and completely unnecessary defeat.
If the selectors had dropped those whose woeful lack of form and confidence were crying out to them to be dropped, and inserted new batsmen in their place, England would IMO have made enough runs to win this match comfortably.
To the pollyanna crowd: are y'all still holding firm on KP and Bell?
You know, the frontline batsmen who are consistently putting England in the **** match after match on SC tracks they seem completely incapable of coming to terms with?
If you look at the team as a whole, there's nothing majorly wrong except that, instead of averaging 40+, nos 4 and 5 are averaging about 15.
Change that and England will start winning again. There's absolutely nothing wrong with their bowling, wicketkeeper/batsman, or lower order batting.
