***Official*** England in India

Hoggard gone now.
Don't know if India's goin to be able to chase 300 or not but it'll certainly be interesting to see whether our batting falls apart like in the first innings again or not.
I don't feel to confident with the top order but hopefully Sachin stick around for a long one.
But firts we need to get ENgland out though.

By the way is the moron (Richard Turner) who wrote into CEEFAX Motson? I've no idea what their surname is so probably isn't.

Well presumably there's someone in the England team who agrees with you. Personally I'd have sooner England were bowled out for 100 in 35 overs than this - and that was a worse case scenario, with aggression they might have got to 200 before or around tea. At least with aggression they'd have had well over 120+ overs to bat out and it takes the blockfest out of the game. It's going to be a hell of a lot easier for India to bat for a draw now. England have just obligingly reduced their own chances of levelling the series.
You may be right and we'll see. I think they had a plan, leave them 320 or so in 100 overs, and have stuck to it.

The other point with the way England bat is that if it's so hard for England to score then why are they bothering to set India over 3 an over?

Their spinners are a little bit better than ours.

about time dhoni takes a stumping... Kumble has struck again by getting kumble..
it looks like india might need to bat today..

Fred gone, stumped off Kumble, well batted again skipper.

Jimmeh and Monty might be able to get us another ten if we're lucky - so looks like 320-odd in about 100 overs is what India are looking at. Game on.

Turbinator isn't better than Panesar on recent form and he's not gone for 2 an over.
It's pretty obvious Harbhajan regained his touch in this innings. He hasn't bowled this beautifully in a while now, even outdid Kumble here.

That said, huge opportunity to Panesar to make a name for himself.

(To Mr. Rubble) Err you're not supposed to say it's a result of an avatar bet... didn't you harass Langeveldt for doing that?

I can't believe England are batting on with Panesar... unreal.

Edit: Never mind it was PY, disclaimer is still a cop out tho

I`ll say it again - Fred has been a rock this series. 10/10 in my books. If he bowls well in the last innings...
