**CRICKET WEB XI VS ENGLAND** at Kensington Oval
50 overs match
Pitch Condition: Normal

A crucial match this one. Both England an the CW XI are looking for victories following defeats to Pakistan and South Africa respectively in the Super Eights so far. These two teams have played each other some 4 times, with each team winnings 2 games. The last time they met, the infamous Rik innings saw the CW XI lose chasing a modest target in the Natwest final.

The key batsmen of the past against England - Rich_2001 and Eclipse - will be hoping for an elusive big opening stand in this one, whilst Mr Mxyzptlk will look to add to his 10 wickets against the Englishmen. Well we're all set to kick off here at the beautiful Kensington Oval.

Blewy has won the toss and will bowl first on this fairly bouncy pitch.

CRICKET WEB XI WON THE TOSS AND ELECTED TO BOWL FIRST

Eyes not spreadsheets
This has come as a very pleasant surprise to be called up when in the middle of some indifferent form.

I wish the Reds well for the forthcoming games and hope they play with the spirit I have instilled in the side.

**CW XI vs Australia**

AUSTRALIA 248/5 50.0 overs
CRICKET WEB XI 165 41.3 overs

Australia won by 83 runs

Man of the match: DR Martyn

An outstanding comeback with the ball was not followed up with the bat, as the CW XI lost early wickets again and progressed to lose more at regular intervals. Peter Young played a brave hand, but was eventually dismissed trying to lower a rising RRR. Some serious problems to be addressed in the batting order, especially with India up next.

Cause for much concern and the Panel will try their best to correct the problems.

It's time for double net practice, guys.

Our batting's really letting us down right now.

**CW XI vs India**

Date: 05-16-2004

CRICKET WEB XI VS INDIA at Bourda
50 overs match
Pitch Condition: Excellent

India will clash with the Cricket Web XI game in a crucial Super Eights matchup for both teams. Both teams enter this game needing a win to have a good shot at the semi-finals. The CW XI stand at #5 of the final 8 teams and India, who are at #6, follow behind by only 0.01 on NRR.

The Indian batting has been shockingly inconsistent of late, with a collapse to lose against Pakistan in their last game. However, it's the CW XI batting which is the real concern of the two teams. In two completed innings, only 374 runs were mustered, both in losses.

As such, the batting lineup will be strengthened today. Marc71178, who was called up to replace Nikhil Nichani, will slot in to the XI with four specialist bowling options opted for and Eclipse swapping with Pete Young.

Well, Ganguly has won the toss and we're all set to go. India will bowl first, and Pathan will start off...
