He is already did. It is just that Ganguly is over using DRAVID for Teams Interests when he can't even BAT.
Dravid is silent but won't be long before he speak up.
Dravid will do wicket keeping in important matches like Finals to give batting depth.
Not for all this crappy matches. Ganguly hates Dravid , i think that is why he is forcing Dravid to do wicket keeping even against Crappy UAE Team.
That is not nice in Ganguly's part.
It is pathetic and it should be condemed.

That was an old article. Karthik kept well in the Ranji Semis and Finals and looked much more efficient than he was in the WC. I guess his wicketkeeping on the A tour to Kenya and Zim, would dictate whether he will make the grade soon or will it take time.Another article on himmarc71178 said:

Isn't MS Dhoni from Bihar the wicketkeeper for that tour?
Why does the wicketkeeper always have to bat like a top order batsman? Why not a bowler? There are no wicketkeepers in India who can bat that well, and no batsmen in India whose wicketkeeping is of any standard. But there can be batsmen in India who can bowl regularly and enough bowlers in India who can bat in the top 6, so why look for a batting wicketkeeper?

Hmmm...do they need to be? If they score 20-30 runs at a low position, that should be enough. Besides, Powar and Pathan, with six specialist batsmen, are good enough with the bat. And what's more important for a wicketkeeper? Batting or Keeping? There's little or no use for a wicketkeeper's batting in a team like this. As for Samant, he has 8 FC half-centuries and he does not drop catches. Ratra is the fastest wicketkeeper in India, so he too should get a look-in again. Of course, in my plans, a wicketkeeper comes in at 9, so I would choose the best gloveman, but the selectors think of wicketkeeping as a supplement to batting, while it is a very unique skill, perfected only by 1 out of 11.V Reddy said:B'coz Ratra and Samant just aren't good enough with the bat.

India have enough Batsman, We need to replace Dravids wicket keeping duty with another wicket keeper.
If that wicket keeper have batting it will be a bonus.
To beat australia , India needs to have 7 batsman or 6 batsman +1 alrounder.
India does n't have a good consistant alrounder atpresent. Agarkar is inconsistant.
So we have to replace that position with wicket keeper batsman.
Pathiv Patel is unfit to be a Batsman of International caliber.
He needs to play more ranji trophy matches to improve his batting.

because it increases the chance of burn out , for your best batsman to keep for 50 overs and then bat again for long periods of time. 3 yrs to the wc, you'd think its time to try and find another keeper-batsmanmarc71178 said:
