*Official* Second Test at the Adelaide Oval

From that squad I'd pick a bowling lineup of Harris Doherty Siddle Bollinger Don't see the need for 4 seamers, if we went down that road Hilfy would be the way to go but he hasn't been taking enough wickets for my liking. In Bollinger and Harris we have the more steady and wicket taking bowlers...

Bell ain't going to die wondering, Doherty might have a chance here or it could be a costly exercise.

Geez when you think Siddle has learnt his lesson he bowls short again and got the treatment by Bell.

Well done Siddle took awhile to find the right length but now hes hitting it. Johnson better be worried as hes the one that should be making way for Bollinger atm.

Hilfy still a bit short for his swing but excellent start.

The problem comes if he does a North or Hussey and just keeps chipping in with the odd performance followed by crap for the next 3 test matches.

Agree. If this was Mitchell Johnson with the same preparation I'm positive he would have got the nod to play instead of going to Perth to play in the Ryobi cup. The selectors and Ponting don't see Bollinger ahead of Siddle in the pecking order, if they did then they would have played him.

Some guy posted on another forum that it is a done deal and Bollinger will be released to play for NSW in their up and coming OD match. TBH I'm sure the selectors were going to pick Siddle even if both were fully fit, they have always had a fascination with him because he is an "all day bowler...

Well done to Khawaja, hopefully hes learnt from the Aus A game if he makes his debut. Still what is Smith in the squad for? It seems he is only there to replace North which is stupid since he should be there to replace any batter not just the one considered to be in batter + spin bowling slot...

Would agree there, hes got that extra yard of pace which makes his bowling good enough to be picked for it alone. I'd say both are about the same in the batting stakes atm, both being let down by concentration as their techniques both look very solid.

George has been disappointing, his pace has been way below what it was it India. I did fear his lack of that extra yard of pace would hold him back and it looks to be the case. Similar to McKay. Hughes again standing up to be counted, you gotta like his fight, even when the selectors keep...

Key for him is to continue this style into the Test match. Might just be what he needs. Else it's time to drop him as we can't go through this crap where they keep making career saving 100s.
