    Liking this aggression from Paine.

That is more like a number 3!

Good move, if he isn't at 3 then hes probably coming in at 8 or 9 again. And its about time we see what he can do in T20I.

    Geez this is pathetic.

Looked like he got his formats wrong, that was the perfect ODI innings. Too bad he doesn't play like that in the Ryobi cup.

Is that Coyte bowling to Gayle again?

This is perfect batting by Warner, if it were an ODI. He should be playing how he usually does for this format.

He did pitch it up looking for the swing but as is the case, if it isn't swinging then it becomes a half volley. That 2nd over where he got smashed, a couple of balls were pitched up and got dispatched.

Yep that is why this squad is only for the first ODI.

Wasn't much better last season with 298 runs at 33 compared to Hodge 622 at 69. Pretty much says when you get dropped don't perform and we will pick you.

From what people have said when Copeland was playing for NSW for a televised game, he was around the 130s so either he was down or pace of the foxsports speed gun are dodgy.

Good thing not too much damage was done by those dodgy no ball calls.

Not a fan of dropping a youngster after 2 matches, would give both Smith and Hughes another run. Would like to get Khawaja in there but he'll get a chance next series replacing one of Hughes, Smith, Clarke or Ponting. Bollinger who should be 100% back in for Hilfy and O'Keefe/Hauritz for Harris.

Front foot pull doesn't work that time.

Tremlett is so awesome, we need a bowler like him. Height, swing, and cutters.

Very Ponting like in going hard early on.

Agree that would look a heck of a lot better. At least you would potentially have 3 bowlers that are capable of keeping it tight allowing Johnson and if Smith is required to attack.

    Michael "Frosty" Beer

The selectors did do pretty similar when picking Krejza, and his debut certainly was an interesting one. Will see what happens with this one but how long will they keep faith in whatever they saw? He should get the series unless he has a McGain like disaster where he'll be put into the never...

And however many hours later since I posted that I'm still going wtf. Must be some sort of nightmare and when I wake up the correct left arm spinner will have been chosen.
