*Official* Third Test at the WACA

Agree, I'm positive this is all Ponting's doing and not the selectors. Although it was all them picking Beer, still in utter shock.

Lol what is this joke, where is O'Keefe if they want a left armer that is performing.

Finally a youngster going on with the start. Boy Christian is in awesome form atm surely must be in the ODI side.

Too little to late from Ferguson then, would be stuck on the 50 same as Khawaja but he was infront of him last time the selectors named a backup batsmen.

Still would rather have Smith in the top 7 where he doesn't have the pressure of being specialist spinner. Ideally O'Keefe at 8 to do the bulk of the work and keep it tight and Smith as the other option to get wickets ala how Katich should have been used if he liked bowling. Then 3 quicks plus...

*Official* Third Test at the WACA

Would show the desperation of the selectors if that is the case given Khawaja was the backup batsmen for the 1st match. Not going to complain if Dussey is picked though, has been one unlucky fella to average 55 in FC and not get a Test debut.

Well if that's the case then Watson should never have moved up to opener in the Ashes series in England. He was dropped when he was at6 for poor form, averaged under 40 playing for his State and next thing you know hes opening the innings for Australia.

Yes 59 runs isn't brilliant but what it shows is he can help if there is a collapse which is problem number 1 for us right now, and he can make runs against international bowlers. Anyway obviously you see it your way, I and other that have picked him at 6 see it the other way.

So because the selectors don't rate him he isn't good enough to bat 6? Well those same selectors deemed Doherty good enough to be our main spinner and North good enough to continue at 6. And again are we just throwing away all the hard work he did last season for a few games this season and a...

*Official* Third Test at the WACA

Again the 59 is coupled with all the other points I have mentioned. Scoring 59 against England A was a heck of a lot better than the other contenders did. And I'm showing that going on 6 innings is pointless. First of how do you expect him to work on his game when hes with the ODI setup half...

*Official* Third Test at the WACA

Yes I know he was batting at 8 because he was picked as a spinner. Yes I do believe he has the game to do it, a number of his innings last season were under pressure situation and again the England A game where he came in at 5/50. That is all we have to judge him on until he is picked in the...

Does Nathan Hauritz turn the ball?

He has turned it here and there. So to has Doherty but neither of their turning deliveries are threatening enough.

Fine 70 in his last match. And I'm not using his 59 as justification of him batting 6 for Australia, that just helps the case. Again refer to runs against Pakistan attack of Asif, Aamer and Gul and his 700 odd runs last season at 70. As for batting behind Paine, batting orders don't mean much...

*Official* Third Test at the WACA

Aveaged 78 last season with 4 100s the most of any batsmen. We just writing that off for his poor start to the season off the back of 2.5 matches? Add to that he just scored a 70 in his last innings and made 59 against England A. If we want to go on the back of 2 matches then Khawaja is...

*Official* Third Test at the WACA

Ideally he'd move down the order, clearly he isn't getting enough overs because of his batting and his bowling seems to be effecting his conversion rate. But since Katich is gone we can't have 2 new openers.

O'Keefe surely in over Henriques, I like Henriques but he just hasn't delivered with the bat.

If we are picking McDonald to keep it tight then why not go Copeland. Does the same thing but with a much better wicket taking ability in Shield cricket anyway.

*Official* Second Test at the Adelaide Oval

Happy enough with that, Hilfy hasn't been at his best in terms of wicket taking and that is what we are missing. Harris and Bollinger are both wicket takers and relatively economical. At least the selectors are starting to make some changes, still no idea how North makes the side.

    ***Official*** Australian Domestic Season 2010/11

O'Keefe will need to work on his batting now that Hauritz will be certain of a spot and given we got enough problems fitting all our pacemen in the side. O'Keefe over Henriques would be the way I go.
