*Official* New Zealand in Bangladesh 2023/24

Trying to think of other players who have kept wicket in internationals then given up the gloves and successfully turned their hand to bowling.

*Official* New Zealand in Bangladesh 2023/24

Devils advocate: Nicholls got a double ton in his last test (granted against Sri Lanka at home and he hasn't done that well on the sub continent outside of the 2018 series win against Pakistan) and has two Plunket Shield tons so hard to dump as the in-form incumbent. O'Rourke is coming along...

    NZ domestic season 2023/24

Some pretty close finishes in the T20 A games at Owen Delaney Park. The only clear cut one looks to be Otago heading to a comfortable win over Auckland. Update: CD snuck home with Findlay picking up a hatrick, ending with 5 for 15.

    NZ domestic season 2023/24

I see Cameron Paul got three wickets. Looking him up he's vice-captain of the under 19 side, doesn't turn 19 till end of December. Seems highly promising.

    NZ domestic season 2023/24

Vintage Wagner celebrations at the end. Hopefully he's regained the yard of pace he seemed to be missing at times last season with his various injuries. If O'Rourke continues his form into Ford Trophy I suspect a Black Caps call up can't be far away.

    ***Official***Semi-Final #2- South Africa vs Australia - November 16th - Eden Gardens, Kolkata (D/N)

Think this is unfair. De Kock tried to be brave and immediately got out. The conditions were what you would expect after being inserted on the first day of a test match. I think both sides misread how tough it would be despite the overhead conditions and fact the pitch had been under covers.

Yeah, I really don't get why both sides wanted to bat first. Hayden apparently said he thought it was a 300+ pitch which he is now walking back in the comm box.

I wonder if any of them noticed the overhead conditions and fact the wicket has been under cover? Apparently, Australia would have batted too.

Southee and Boult will be jealous as hell looking at these conditions.

    ***Official***Semi-Final #1- India vs New Zealand - November 15th - Wankhede, Mumbai (D/N)

Reminds me a bit of Paul Collingwood or even Scott Styris as someone who does better at international level and in big games than at domestic level. India are deserved finalists. Black Caps can reflect on an excellent campaign, losing Matt Henry was a big blow. Maybe in hindsight they could...

Was anyone suggesting NZ were favourites coming into this game?

Phillips bowling has been one of the surprise packages of this Black Caps campaign. I keep forgetting he first made the side as a keeper.

Viv Richards with today's bats would be something else.

The audacity of that shot reminds me of Greatbatch hitting Malcolm Marshall for six over cover in the 92 WC.
