    OP is a bot.

    Waqar vs Bumrah

Waqar swung it huge more often and at a livelier pace, Bumrah has a better "bowling IQ". Will go with what Sillycow posted, probably Bumrah if he retires with the same awesome stats that he has now.

What is the greatest feat of longevity in test cricket?

My bad, but it still holds true that a 37 year old batter doesn't have very good hand eye coordination. You can see that happening to Steve Smith and Rohit Sharma right now. Gooch at 38-39 was not playing those elegant drives off fast bowlers (he was never known for that either during his...

What would your nation's Test XI look like if they had to implement a Bazball philosophy?

They probably had that shaolin soccer style awakening.

In terms of just watching enjoyment, how would you rank the various aspects of the game?

Personally I like A and F, although Bumrah is my current favorite cricketer.

What would your nation's Test XI look like if they had to implement a Bazball philosophy?

You can't just assemble a list of big hitters and expect bazball cricket. Bazball is a way of life that takes time and practice. You see guys like Crawley, Brook and Duckett? They undertook intense training in a dojo and gained wisdom from McCullum san. Only a great teacher can impart bazball...

What is the greatest feat of longevity in test cricket?

42 year old Gooch scoring 154 on a seaming track under grey skies against Walsh/Patterson/Ambrose/Marshall. Your hand eye coordination is gone by that age, all that matters is experience.

Tendulkar vs Kohli, who was better in SA?

Kohli is close friends with AB D, must have spilled all the secrets to bat on SA pitches during IPL parties.

Is this the era of the oldest teams ever?

Anderson will play forever and become the master Yoda of cricket.

Best England side of this century

If you're a great bowler, you should get Lara out even on the fattest of decks. No excuses.

Best England side of this century

I didn't rate that attack much before we toured UK in 2011, especially after the way our batters handled peak Steyn in the same year. What followed was among the finest displays of seam bowling I have witnessed in a cricket game. No bouncer barrage but top notch lateral movement.

Best England side of this century

"Bowling excellence" is exaggerated. So if Bresnan was at the right place at the right time, why doesn't this apply to Flintoff, Harmisson and Jones? They were hardly world beaters besides that good patch in 2004-06 period. Broad and Anderson have maintained that high class throughout their...

Best England side of this century

Still remember how sorted that 2011 side was, almost flawless.

Best England side of this century

2010-2012 arguably the best. In fact 2010-2012 bowling > 2005 Ashes bowling easily.

    Factually correct, but ouch!

Better than Vaas, Kapil and Asif. You have to be a strong skeptic to believe otherwise.

    Official Jasprit Bumrah fanboying thread

Yep, it looks difficult to go past Imran and Wasim, but very likely to surpass Waqar if he maintains the same quality till the end of his career (I'll become a massive fanboy if he does).

But aren't we talking about test performances here? In CW, players are only rated on their test performances. If we include ODIs, then Marshall becomes the third greatest fast bowler after Wasim and McGrath.
