Shoaib vs Bumrah vs Mohd Asif

Not just Bumrah, I'd also rate Shami ahead of Kapil Dev in tests.

Match #19- India vs Pakistan (D)- Nassau County Cricket Stadium, New York- June 9th-- Group A

We were quite awful too without Bumrah's bowling. Bumrah gradually making his way to the tier 1 list.

Bad cricketers who played too long

Not a bad cricketer, but got this feeling that Dhoni captained in tests to handle the transition phase from Fab 5 era to Kohli/Rohit/Bumrah. In reality, he was never interested in test cricket.

    Peak Shoaib vs Peak Johnson

Johnson even at his peak relied more on his short pitched bowling. He would be destructive on any wicket still, but maybe a slow wicket like Colombo can reduce his sting. Akhtar had a lethal bouncer but he used it sparingly, he enjoyed pitching it up and send stumps flying. He was so quick in...

Match #11 - USA vs Pakistan - 6th June - Grand Praire Stadium, Dallas- Group A

Those Sharjah days when Sachin, Ganguly and Dravid had to work hard to earn their runs seem like a distant history now.

Players whose reputation during their career was an inaccurate reflection of how good they really were

On contrary, I feel that Ponting is kind of underrated. At his peak, his ODI batting was as good as that of Viv.

    Michael Slater in BIG Strife

Nah, he edged it with hard hands.

Who is the Batting Equivalent of Jasprit Bumrah?

    This. A genius artist.

Which current players are/will be ATGs?

Took 12 wicket in 3 tests @ 22.5 average in Pakistan. Too good for a hit the deck seam bowler.

Which current players are/will be ATGs?

    Ashwin and Anderson are ATVGs

Best bowler to average over 30 ?

Peak Flintoff was as good as any tier 1 bowler in full flow.

Is Ravindra Jadeja an ATG test bowler?

He is the James Anderson of spin bowlers minus the longevity with exceptional fielding as an add on.

Is Ravichandran Ashwin an ATG test bowler?

The great series Dravid batted in were 1999 NZ tour, 2002 UK tour, 2003/04 Aus tour, 2004 Pak tour, 2006 Windies tour to name a few, I may have left out some of his outstanding batting here. But his last tour of UK surpassed the definition of great, it was outstanding. The ball swung like the...

Is Ravichandran Ashwin an ATG test bowler?

Dravid is legit ATG purely for that 2011 UK tour even if we go to the extremes by ignoring his gun performances in 2000s. I am yet to see a batsman handling late swing that well.

Is Ravichandran Ashwin an ATG test bowler?

As amazing a bowler Anderson is, I would never group him in the same tier as Waqar.

*Official* England in India 2023/24 #CryMoreTour

Aand I rest my case! Lots of hype around bazball but I knew that this England side does not hold a candle to Strauss' team. Looking at how we batted against Hartley and Bashir, our batters should be thankful that they weren't facing Swann and Panesar.

Pakistan early 1990s vs Kohli’s India

Pakistan under Imran was a powerful side, but they weren't really thrashing teams at home effortlessly. The current Indian team has made India tours the final frontier for all sides, but it would be interesting to see how they would have fared against Steve Waugh's side, mental toughness to the...

Does anyone wish, odi cricket was back?

The amount of cricket played is insane, as a result most cricketers have become robotic and professional due to such demanding workload. That was not the case before, there wasn't much money in cricket and amount of cricket played was not so high, so making debut for your country meant...

    The Thommo method of Bowling

Strength training of a very specific type, i.e. targeting specific muscle groups only. Akhtar put on too much muscle to avoid slowing down and he destroyed his knees.
