Who is a better batsman Martyn or Chanderpaul?

No, it is not very clear.

Yet again you are taking one isolated post, and not reading it in context.
We have always debated on the issue and any post you have written asking me to remove the signature and/or stating that you never said it 'clearly' in your defination of the word clear has obviously been missed by me.

For me it was pretty obvious that your stand was 'Tendulkar is past his best' and the reason for adding your name to the signature and I had no reason to believe otherwise specially considering my main argument has been I feel he is not past his best and you have always debated with me on various aspects of Tendulkar.

It was contextual in the sense I asked clearly and specificly in that specific post whether you feel he is past his best and NOT out of context.

At least its good it is clear from both sides.

No matter how many times I say that I have never said that?

All I have ever said is he is not as good as he was a few years back.

Fact 1 : You said I was making things so I quoted a point which made you4 stance very clear for me.

Fact 2 : Then you said it was just a single post and out of context whereas for me it was very much in context.

Fact 3: I have overlooked instance of you saying never having said that/denied that/shown your specific stance not being that but I accept your word for it.

Fact 4: There is no point go on and on by both of us on it and I hope its truce now as Jono suggested.

Surely this circuitous argument could be resolved fairly simply by asking Marc's opinion as to whether:

a) Tendulkar is past his best
b) Tendulkar is at his best, or
c) Tendulkar's best is yet to come

Come on guys, let's get this thing resolved and move on.

d) None of the above.

I don't feel he's currently as good as he was.

That is the point I have always maintained, but someone thinks that by cutting out 1 post they can misquote me.

No, because you continue to misrepresent the facts by referring to a single post that you've taken out of context.

Oh come on mate, I thought you had some nuts! :)

FWIW, I WOULD say that he's past his best. I could be wrong, but that's the nature of putting your neck on the line and stating an opinion. It seemed to me that you'd strongly suggested as much in the past, though.

1 quote which shows some thing clearly. I dont have more time to waste on it. Maybe you did not intend to but reread it million times and you cant say I misquoted or misrepresented you.

Some one who cant accept his own folly. Hmm.

Any way as I said, wasted enough time on it.

It may have come across like that, but I've never meant it to.

It is possible that he won't ever play as well again.

It is also possible that this operation will see him batting like he used to.

No it does take everything out of context - it ignores the rest of the posts I made in the discussion, that is called taking something out of context, is it that hard to understand?

And one final point which really shows how misquoted I'm being.

That misquoted post is from March 2005.

Yet I'm accused of saying these things In December 2004.

What was it you said about folly?

Getting back to the aim of this thread for a while, before Marc & pratayush continue their argument. Out of all that has been said i still maintain that Martyn is a better batsman than Chanderpaul...

I might agree with you but Martyn needs a few more years under his belt. Not much between them though.

I notice you ignore my comment about the whole fact that your so called evidence that I said what you quoted me in December 2004 is a misrepresented post made in March 2005...
