actually they dont. I watched IND-PAK in PAK and MOST player sledges were audible by stump mic. Comments were like 'so did ya learn how to bat or swat flies ?/ are ya bowling or are ya begging ?/Shall i come to bowl again ?' etc etc.haha prove that they dont say things like that... you know full well that the vast majority of cricketers talk like that these days
Did you watch every ball, every over. I bet you missed some more spicy calls , thats a big generalisationC_C said:actually they dont. I watched the WI-RSA encounter in RSA and the worst comment was by nel who said 'get off the damn pitch!' after dismissing a WI batsman.
I watched the NZ series vs IND in NZ and the worst sledge was by McMillan to tendy <upon bouncing him a few times> "so your bat's not big enough, huh?"
Only the current OZ team have taken the sledging to utter crudeness and crassness.
and like i explained to benchmark in another thread, the burden of proof lies with the one arguing the point. I've substantiated my accusation with McGrath's quotes.
if you are arguing that other country's players do so, provide proof.

what makes you believe that CA is more aware than other test nations when it comes to the attitude and behaviour of its players ?Because CA looks after australian cricket- not other test countries. Other test countries may not be aware of what is being said- by that i mean the admins
One of the most demonstrative celebrators ? Yes.harbajhan singh is the worst at over celebrating and sledging in the world, he even sledges when he bats... the last series between india and australia was disgraceful, he absolutely made a fool of himself, if it were in australia he would be boo'd out of the country, and rightly so too
how the hell would you know what mcgrath said?? like you said before... do the aussie players have microphones all the time???? dont beleive everything you hear..... go stick some more pins in your anti australia voodoo dollC_C said:One of the most demonstrative celebrators ? Yes.
One of the worst sledgers ? Not even close.
Harby cant even speak decent english.
He didnt make any comment that is even remotely as uncouth as what McGrath said. And if he did, i would like you to quote it.
As per his batting antics, most people i knwo ( that includes aussies) found it hillarious and amusing...running to square leg <literally> after whacking McGrath, clapping after clobbering warne....... those were funny antics to say the least...
But he didnt say anything remotely as bad as what McGrath did.
C_C said:like i said, substantiate with examples then if you are claiming that all players today behave in the same loutish way McGrath did.
and explain to me then why of all 10 test playing nations, CA felt the need to issue a public statement that OZ needs to improve its behaviour and the image that goes along with it
Exactly, thats the way the Aussies play it, they take one on the chin, fell the pain, the pain makes them stronger, deliver a mental blow themselves then get on with their job. ITs the Australian way, always has been always will. We all start like that from youngsters, no one likes crybaby, just shut up and cop it, thats what Australians live by.age_master said:its all reputation - its just Aussie players dont whinge when they get sledged, cop it (usually with a comeback of sorts) and continue to hammer the oposition
maybe cause it aint legitsir middle stump said:Man, whatever the Aussie players may be, some of you Aussie fans are definitely touchy. Why cant you take some legit criticism of your team?
And how is it not ?benchmark00 said:maybe cause it aint legit
Umm..because that was caught on stump-mics and that was later validated by what Sarwan said about the incident.how the hell would you know what mcgrath said?? like you said before... do the aussie players have microphones all the time???? dont beleive everything you hear..... go stick some more pins in your anti australia voodoo doll
which is why i guess Ponting whinged and whinged and whinged about the Mumbai pitch.Exactly, thats the way the Aussies play it, they take one on the chin, fell the pain, the pain makes them stronger, deliver a mental blow themselves then get on with their job. agreed. if its too hot, they should get out of the kitchen. If Ponting cant play spin in IND, he should get 'injured' everytime he plays in IND and not whinge about the pitch.Well Boo Hoo...all Ive got to say is if its too hot, get out of the kitchen.
