Super Eight

Good last wicket partnership there for Bangladesh.

Bond bowled outstandlingly well. Bowler of the tournament so far, by a country mile. I'll throw Styris in there as All-rounder of the tournament aswell.

Cant see 175 troubling New Zealand, but you never know. Hopefully the top order stands up and doesnt leave all the work to Styris and Oram, yet again.

If New Zealand win this one that will make it 8 ODI wins in a row, a new record for New Zealand.
seriously? bangladesh had like the same record

West Indies out pretty much kills the world cup unless NZ wins...
Not sure I agree there. The 99 WC seemed to cope pretty well without the hosts after the group stages. What'll make the tournament for me is someone actually giving Australia a game.

Styris cannot get a wicket here, my cricket.com.au Dream Team chances depend on it. Cannot have my mate beat me, and Styris is killing it for him.
I've never been more frustrated watching a spell of bowling than Styris' today. At least not for a long time.

:(
Ouch.

Hamish is using up some luck out there but New Zealand are still comfortably cruising to their target. Although, net run rate does not seem to be of grave concern.

Considering what happened in the warmup game, I'm pretty sure NZ didnt want to go out there and smash it just for raising the NRR.

Although once they get to 100-1 or so I think they might have a fair tonk

EDIT: Fleming trying his hardest to get RUN OUT again

Bangladesh have had a hammering for the second time in three days. As they were just saying on TMS, doesn't make India look good does it!

Not only have there been plenty of 6s, but I bet I don't see as many helmetless batsmen in the whole of the coming season as I have here. Probably won't see any, come to think of it.

India must feel pretty lucky they went away with just two embarrassing defeats instead of 2 + 6 = 8 thrashings.

But they lost to a side that's being pulverised by everyone else.

And I don't give much for their chances against Ireland ...

Good to see Fleming get the 100. He did his best to hold out in the 90's but managed to get there nonetheless.

Pretty boring 2nd innings but you cant really fault NZ for that. Win first, NRR second.

EDIT: And thats also 8 wins on the trot

Yeah, impressive win by New Zealand, ended it in doubly quick time with all the runs coming after I had fallen asleep for 45 minutes or so.

Just watching the highlights, the outfield in a lot of places was absolutely atrocious. Not even club standard let alone World Cup standard.

Probably the uneven outfield at Antigua is the prime reason why Watson and Mason have both got injured.

Definietly the constant rain hasn't helped the outfield either.

Good to see Marshall getting some runs, Fleming's second fifty must have come in pretty quick time. He was only striking about 70 when I left, if memory serves.

Ireland hasnt had a resounding victory against them yet....

they had SA 8 down for under 100 and did very well against England.

I dont need to tell you they beat Pakistan...

I cant really see an Ireland win but i can see a close shave:ph34r:

Ireland's opening bowling versus SA's opening batting should be an interesting and very important battle. Never realised how much it drizzles in the West Indies tho...
