Haha, that was such a typical Aftab innings. He looked a million dollars, played some really good shots, seemed in total control, and then played a ridiculous shot that you'd hang a 7 year old for playing to get himself out.

This is exactly why Aftab's Test career will never take off. His ODI place is probably going to come under scrutiny now - he's played five ridiculous shots (maybe four, can't remember how he got out vs Sri Lanka) in five innings. It can't just be age - Saqibul and Mushfiqur are his junior by a couple of years and you don't see them slashing wildly.

Bangla choking themselves a bit but NZ have bowled very well and very disciplined

i dont think 200 will be enough (on this track)... and at this rate they wont get more than that.. or much more...
but who knows .. i think the pitch may have a bit of grip in it and Bangla have got 3 spinners

anyone else think Ashraful batting way too low?

Raghav is Cricinfo's scorer. Now I know who to blame.

EDIT: If Bond gets it below 18.84, he's got the record for all-time averages (again). He already has strike rate and tends to sit easy at the top of that list.

7-3-5-2 are pretty crazy figures.

Amazing considering I was thinking way back in December that Bond should retire because he was bowling tripe.

Gone-burgers. Poor Jono, Styris gets another one.

How fast is Bondy bowling, out of curiosity?
He has been bowling around 140km/h. Although in that over he bowled a few around the 145km/h mark, obviously putting in the extra effort against the lesser batsmen, spearing it in full and aiming for the stumps
