Rated about right, one of the few batsman of modern times you would choose to bat for your life.

Geoff Allott

I would put Sarwan in the over-rated list, sorry but until he learns not to keep throwing his wicket away when he makes a start and converts them into big scores then I will move him out and it has been said he should be sent back to play for Guyana to hammer out some runs. But it won't happen so it is frutile and he can go on and continue to underachieve because he know's his place is safe.

Personally I was considered Carl Hooper to be egositical prima donna who only ever thought about himself and not himself and the way he acted like when he lost the captaincy after the 2003 WC was nothing more then acting like a spoilt brat chucking his toyes out of the pram.

Of course Liam will probably read this and tell me I'm speaking crap or not, but I stand by what I said.

Sorry for hi-jacking but I couldn't help myself just then.

Overrated: Mohammad Yousuf
Underrated: Paul Collingwood and Mohammad Kaif

The problem is, a lot of players are overrated by some and others react by underrating them ... and vice versa. For example, someone might have correctly said that Tendulkar is overrated by certain people and in the process given others the chance of claiming that he's now being underrated and attacked so much.

Hmm, you're right about Yuvraj in the past. He has certainly been overrated for a while and been built up on "potential" and a few heroic knocks here and there. This season though, he's really performing like a world-class batsman. No longer overrated, IMO.

Well, there was a point when I rated him highly and thought he was underrated. But lately I've gotten the impression that he lets the team down these days in crucial situations and doesn't bat like a senior batsman when the team is in trouble. Younis has stepped up more than him lately.

Anyway I never thought Geoff Allott was over-rated, certaintly in the right conditions he was a handfull but unfortunatly he was never fit for 7 and half minutes.

Your not the only one.

Only until I saw the postcount then I knew it was different.

I think Youhana is a bit overrated because against sides with good/decent bowling ( Australia, South Africa, WI of Ambrose-Walsh, Sri Lanka) he has had only one huge series and thats it.

Not to mention he's been Pathan's bunny quite a few times. Pathan is a very good opening bowler, but MoYo has looked quite bad against him apart from the flat-pitch tests in Pakistan and the time when Pathan was in horrendous form in India.

Mohd Yousuf- Rightly rated, people bracket him with players like Laxman, Vaughan, Martyn. I believe he is no less then these guys.

Hey Xuhaib - 'Glen Mcgrath is underrated' by who ?
I always have this debate with many people.

I believe he is the greatest ever. Even better then the likes of Headlee's, Marshal's and Wasim's of this world.

I don't see how Kallis is over rated.. Hardly anyone likes him, and he's rarely mentioned as one of the best batsmen around even though he has among the best stats..
