I would be the first to admit that... And I am not proud of it.zinzan12 said:With all due respect Blaze and I usually appreciate what you have to say......but you've had a shocker today

All Hinds runs since that incident must now be deleted.Voltman said:Harsh call from Ian Smith. Hinds hit a ball back hard at bowler Scott Styris, who just got a hand to it. Smithy said "the sad thing was he deflected it away from umpire Bowden."
Blaze said:I lost a bet on the forum. I hate Ashley Giles.
I know. Still damn funny though. I was close to saying that if Windies won yesterday, I would get a Rawl Lewis picture, and say something like "Rawl Lewis is da man, mon".Blaze said:I lost a bet on the forum. I hate Ashley Giles.
I'm so so sorry...Blaze said:But yes I am generally pessimistic when it comes to sports teams I support.
You can't blame me though with the kind of teams I have supported over the years - Wellington (rugby) Hurricanes, the Warriors, and New Zealand cricket.
Not the most successful bunch of teams.
Agreed. Even though we all knew (including Chanderpaul), that NZ could do it, they should not have. He should have moved in for the kill. He had nothing to lose, and just trying to stop NZ scoring was never going to win them the game. At 13/4, they should have cleaned us up. They started really well in the bowling department. I think Chanderpaul got too worried thanks to McCullum hitting out. So good on McCullum for that. He would probably have got his highest ODI score yesterday if he hadn't of been run out like that.Voltman said:Chanderpaul let them cruise home. When McCullum went, he applied very little pressure on Vettori and Franklin, only occasionally popping a slip in. As the commentators said, it was reactive rather than proactive. The Windies had us seven down - go in for the kill, Shiv!!
And I hope that any complacency got firmly shaken out of the lads yesterday.Tim said:I thought that might happen. A low key game in Queenstown was the perfect opportunity for the West Indies to surprise NZ, and they almost did.
The problem is that the next game is in Christchurch, which is a particularly favourable ground for NZ.
I know it's a day late, but thanks for having me...James said:Welcome to the forums - good to have another member from the West Indies here
BOUKMAN said:It would be nice to see Dwayne Smith pused up the order a bit...I fear that they are turning him into another "Ricardo Powell". I so fondly remember his debut century in South Africa, when his offside play was just as majestic as his much bally hooed legside play. Now, however, he is quickly becoming a late-inning slogger. Superb ball striker...I hope they don't ruin him too... Most exciting young batsman in the world me thinks! BTW, why is Runako Morton even playing for the West Indies? 39 off 93 balls?
On the contrary I think it was this knock which lost the match for us (Chandepaul's ineptitude and the New Zealand lower order batting aside)...Morton is one of those batsmen who seemingly doesn't have the ability to change gears...A good number three would have come in and consolidated for a while before trying to seize the initiative...He was stuck in neutral the whole time...He should know that the West Indies need to post colossal totals if they are to have any chance of beating NZ...marc71178 said:In the circumstances, I'd have thought Morton's knock was crucial.
Very few people use that word over here you know. If anything, "Rawl Lewis is da bomb, man." Don't believe everything you see on TV.sirjeremy11 said:I know. Still damn funny though.
