That was one of the dumbest clips I have ever seen. That looked bloody painful. No Sammy today then.
Blizzard? Hurricane Tiddles?Haha, hey guys, guess what the weather forecast is for Nelson on Saturday?
Same as Hamilton on Wednesday of next week!Haha, hey guys, guess what the weather forecast is for Nelson on Saturday?
You've repeatedly made these points and I've avoid biting but I'm sorry, this is ridiculous. You can't just schedule every game in Auckland because it might rain FFS.1) Stop scheduling games in Queenstown where it's rained the last 2-3 attempts.
3) Schedule at grounds that have good drainage like Eden Park so you don't get the laughable situation like McLean park in which a day/night game is abandoned in sunshine because of the outfield.
Where exactgly did I say every game should be played at Eden Park? I was using it as an example of a ground that drains particularly well. There are others that drain relatively well also. This absolutely should be a consideration. You've repeatedly made these points and I've avoid biting but I'm sorry, this is ridiculous. It's ridiculous comparing NZ with Australia in this respect. Most of the key Australian grounds drain well and you get very few completely abandoned Internationals over there. If it ain't broke.Match up each ground's allocation with a time of the year it's less likely to rain... allocate reserve days.. provide financial assistance in improving covers and drainage... sure, these are fine ideas. But as you said, it's a business, and you can't just ignore so many potential consumers by banning 95% of the country from hosting international fixtures to decrease the chance of rain. You don't see Australia hosting every fixture at Docklands under the closed roof. .
Yeah, you can't do this:2) Look at either reserve days or even as someone in cricinfo suggested have a plan B location ready if the forecast is dodgy a week out. I get that involves last minute movement from the sky team etc, but that's what a BCP is all about, the ability to be nimble.
Ahh, remember that game well, Zulu needed 3 or 4 off the last ball and hit Nash for 4.Reserve days work. Example:
4th ODI: New Zealand v South Africa at Napier, Mar 25, 1999 | Cricket Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo
4th ODI: New Zealand v South Africa at Napier, Mar 26, 1999 | Cricket Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo
I blame Bulfin for the loss, btw.
