Use your feet or move towards leg Guptill, this is a T20 match, getting dismissed for 2 off 7 isn't good enough

McCullum has the right idea to Holder. This is how people should play these types of bowlers in all formats.

Ordinary batting from Guptill. Zero intent. Just stayed in his crease and tentatively wafted at it. Can obviously be such a good short-form player on his day, but he really can't afford to sit back early inT20s, I've noticed him do this on a few occasions recently.

And McCullum shows some intent and hit a boundary...shock horror.

Hendrix to use a 20/20 game to demote Guptill from possible test selection.
nah I said before the ODI series that Guptill's ODI form shouldn't mean anything to his test prospects so I won't say anything now. He's an excellent ODI player.

Guptill was almost in test mode there to begin with. He played the first few balls quite well by getting the bat inside the line (they were ****ing good) but then it looked like he thought "oh ****, it's limited overs, need a boundary" and had a go at a smidgeon of width that he would have otherwise left.

McCullum showing Guptill that when the ball is moving off the seam using a straight bat and not moving your feet is suicide.

Perfect game for McCullum here. The shorter the better. So good when he can just bat with no fear and doesn't need too plan for a day long innings.

Poor shot selection too. Was much too short for the drive, would've been better served crouching a bit and playing the cut.

This is a bit nostalgic. McCullum and Ryder batting together at the start of the innings and carving up.
