SL should definitely learn to cope with the pressure when chasing. And I agree with u on the SS rule, they should change it so teams can choose after the toss.
Or even better, scrap it completely and go back to 11 vs 11.

exactly, that will never happen though because the ICC wouldnt want to be seen as having made a mistake..

I'm trying to work out where the benefit to the suber sub thing is.. I mean why? Who wins?

SS and power plays both sucks, i like the old rules much better. Its almost comical to see the comentators try to spice up the power plays from the 8th over by speculating and saying that it is a good time not to take the PP, really annoys me now. Btw, anyone know what rules the WC is going to be played under?

In short, Test Cricket owns. I demand a Test-Cricket World Cup!
Wouldn't that go on for a bit long? The cricketers would be exhausted, only a few days rest...

If it goes for ages, let it go for ages...

Imagine a tournament that went for a whole year: what a spectacle!

Clark is a gun bowler, always does well. Good wicket for him, he does well on wickets with bounce.

Clark has been pretty good since he got his chance for australia. Dizzy & Tait are going to have to bowl well to convince these selectors to get them in ahead of Clark someday.

Sri Lanka really do lack the ability to accelerate in the death overs. It's not such a problem when you're chasing a target, or when you're playing on slow, turning wickets at home, but at the WACA on this sort of pitch, you should get 80-100 from the last 10 when you get there with 6 wickets in hand. It's just hard to see Sri Lanka managing that.

Unless they can correct that, I can't see them being a serious threat in the World Cup on West Indian pitches. Teams with better balance in their batting lineups like Australia, South Africa, England and New Zealand would surely be a much better bet to make the big totals batting first that will be necessary.

Arnold and Vaas can clear the ropes but you are right, they struggled in NZ to do the same thing.

Unless Sanith and Kumar get them off to a rocketing start then they will always struggle to post huge totals.
