Number 1, two of the boundaries were hit off full balls, the other two were back of a length and hit on the up (just saw the replay). When someone is hitting the ball through the line on the up on a fairly flat deck, it's pretty tough to stop.
Number 2, what was he supposed to do, bowl short on leg-stump? He tried bringing the length back and still got spanked; very little he could do.

If Gilchrist gets out, then Katich will has to assume the dominant role. He doesnt have to do so at the moment though, and he has done a fine job of what he has been required of him in this innings.Nnanden said:

Hear hear. I went to the game on Thursday and the music was awesome when they weren't playing classic (c)rock. 'bout time they didn something to make the ODI's more of a carnival. The extreme heat that day gave the ground a bit of a hazy feel too so I definitely thought I was at a rave a few times.
Good knock from Gilly. When he gets going he has this quite intense look in his eyes. Excellent to see it back and long may it continue!
