You're welcome to him - perhaps he could become the number 6 and 4th seamer?!andyc said:
Imagine if Rikki Clarke was playing
Yet continued to bowl full and on the off stump of one of the greatest players in the world in that area, for the rest of the over... Nice goingTop_Cat said:Yeah he's been smacked by Adam Gilchrist. What a loser..........
Have you seen him bowl in these last two matches? It wouldnt matter if it was Gilchrist or Sibanda - he was going to get hammered regardless.Top_Cat said:Yeah he's been smacked by Adam Gilchrist. What a loser..........
Number 1, two of the boundaries were hit off full balls, the other two were back of a length and hit on the up (just saw the replay). When someone is hitting the ball through the line on the up on a fairly flat deck, it's pretty tough to stop.Yet continued to bowl full and on the off stump of one of the greatest players in the world in that area, for the rest of the over... That's what Gilchrist does to the bowlers when he's in full flight...Top_Cat said:Number 1, two of the boundaries were hit off full balls, the other two were back of a length and hit on the up (just saw the replay). Number 2, what was he supposed to do, bowl short on leg-stump? He tried bringing the length back and still got spanked; very little he could do.
Mix his pace up, mix the angle he hits the crease at, anything.. I know he bowled one over at one of the greatest players ever but he was pants the other night as well..Top_Cat said:Number 1, two of the boundaries were hit off full balls, the other two were back of a length and hit on the up (just saw the replay). I think that was a largely Aussie term last summer..Top_Cat said:Whoa...........
What, are you English now?
If Gilchrist gets out, then Katich will has to assume the dominant role. He doesnt have to do so at the moment though, and he has done a fine job of what he has been required of him in this innings.Nnanden said:Wonderful ton from Gilly.
Everyone is saying how good Katich has supported Gilchrist... but what happens if Adam gets out? Does he support everyone else? When Jaques played, everyone fell around him and he supported them... by plowing runs!
Hear hear. I went to the game on Thursday and the music was awesome when they weren't playing classic (c)rock. 'bout time they didn something to make the ODI's more of a carnival. The extreme heat that day gave the ground a bit of a hazy feel too so I definitely thought I was at a rave a few times.Im loving the dance-garage vibe they have going on at Perth tonight..
