it reminds me of a match in 2003 pak v s.africa in lahore when shoaib malik gave pollock and kallis a thrashing pollocks first seven or eight overs just went for 11 runs but malik messed it all up in the end ,that was the last international match i watched live and had a great graet time :D

I expect a much better performance form the WI in this match.Losing Gayle in the bowling department is a bad but hopefully it won't affect his batting(given his last few scores i hope it does).

I expect a few changes in the team.Dillon certainly shouldn't play with Collins coming in.It's going to be a toss up between King, Powell and Marshall for the only unsure spot but i think Marshall should stay and open this time.Hinds can go down the order. The one bowler short approach is not likely going to be a problem against Pakistan as long as the bowlers show up.Against the Aussies, i think that move should be re-considered.

I agree with Mark Taylor. With the good start WI had, Lara should have come in at 3. It's nothing major, but that platform would have been perfect for him. Sarwan's good at 3, no doubt, but really you want Lara facing as many overs as possible. Especially when the new ball is long gone.

Jeese. Gayle is very lucky. Should have been run out, and then next ball top edges one which would have been caught, but it was bowled by 'No Ball' Razzaq. This could cost Pakistan dearly later on.

Rana is bowling brilliantly. He's now got Lara and Powell. Good fight back by Pakistan. One must wonder how serious Akhtar's injury is. Another injury to their strike bowler.

Bowling in his 3rd over. Apparently he has a 1st grade hamstring tear. 1st grade is the lightest.

Anyway, a strange batting performance by the West Indians. They scored 72 runs from the last 10 overs with 8 wickets in hand which is certainly below par.

But I still think Pakistan will have trouble chasing the total, 1) Because of their innate mental block against chasing anything over 150, 2) the unpredictability of out top order.

Though WI bowling isn't great shakes, I wonder who would they use as 4th and 5th bowlers.

Collins
Dillon
Bradshaw
Samuels
Sarawan
Powell?
