Yeah I agree but I thought that was kinda dumb so I feel silly suggesting copying it.
I mean it's not an accident that a whole bunch of us have come to that conclusion. It feels very strange but there's a lot of logic to it. You can't drop Marsh, and it's abundantly clear that Warner is not technically capable of surviving Broad with the new ball if there's any pace or movement in the pitch and he doesn't have a monstrous amount of luck.

Bugger. Looks like we'll have to settle for 4-1. :D

Poms a bit too good in the end. Wood and Woakes superstars.

Apart from an occasional little bit of swing at times (from Marsh and Starc) our boys can't seem to get it off the straight. Particularly unthreatening effort from Boland and Cummins (this innings).

Unfortunately we will keep Warner and drop Marsh for the next one. Hazlewood will be back for Boland. Should still be a good enough team to win, but it's going to be galling watching little Davey trudge back early bowled Broad caught Crawley and our no 6 being a timid blocker who can't turn over the strike.

I'd probably rather make Marsh open himself than Green, even if just for the long-term development of Green's career. I don't want Green to go on a run of failures, lose confidence and unfairly become a meme.

If it's only going to be for a couple of Tests while Broad is a factor, what about Carey opening?

I mean speaking of a guy who is at risk of losing confidence (at least with the bat)...

Yeah but Green's confidence is actually important for the future of the side.
In a nutshell, a superstar!
His morale and confidence uplift the whole of the team.

From Stumped!

SuperstarImproves under pressure! Experience means even more, but he disrupts dressing room morale, so the rest of team play worse

**** I’d like to know why Warner went from being serviceable in the first test and a half when batting on leg stump to going back to an off stump guard and being absolutely useless again. I remember seeing him do it and wondering WTAF was going on

It's so strange. All it's guaranteed is that normal balls Broad bowls on off stump that move away at all are near guaranteed wicket taking deliveries because of how hard he's pushing those and the fact that he's trying to hit them to midwicket.

???

How does the bloke who has made two hundreds in his last four games deserve as much criticism as a guy who looks extremely fortunate to be making 25 man.
Because Smith **** the bed in India when we needed him to stand up, like I said in my initial post?

i swear warners made that around the wicket stuff from Broad look way more threatening than it is.

I’d pick Harris over Warner at this stage yeah his record sucks. Worth taking the risk compared to Warner who’s getting out under 10 most innings

3-0 would not have felt right with the way this series has been played. As a neutral I love that it's 2-1 with two to play. Still in Australia's hands though. One bad innings(bowling or batting) for England and the series is gone.

picking harris is not actually "a risk". he's dogwater and we know that and there's no upside to picking him. david warner could average 4 and i would wager that'd be more than harris could

And we haven't needed Marnus to stand up in the last four games?
The post I initially quoted already discussed marnus being poor this series, didn't think it would come across like I was trying to defend marnus in any way, my bad if it did.
