They aren't a unit. Where are they supposed to get motivation from? They aren't playing for their country. I am sure they are all trying, but I bet half of them don't actually care if they lose. Australia have done bloody well to contain these guys and beat them but they have one up on them, they are playing for their country and are playing with passion etc. The world XI are playing for themselves.

Personally I don't think that this series should continue after this year. Dumb concept IMO.
Agree with this 100 percent. Dumb concept. Stop this nonsense.
What a load of rubbish and rip off !! :@

Again, they don't have the time to gel as a unit.

If they were going to use the Super Series concept, they should have organised it a long time before they did, to stop other fixtures interfering as they have, so they can have an actual tour.

Or just maybe he's not performing because:

a. he didnt played any cricket for a month before the tour;

b. he spent a fair proportion of that month on the drink; and

c. the Aussies have actually done some work in the mean-time.

I must say that I find it fairly typical that when Aus supporters raised similar objections to the scheduling before the Ashes tour, we were howled down by all and sundry. Now, when the boot is on the other foot, every excuse under the sun is being trotted out and were expected to accept them as a fact of life.

The fact is that the World X1 would be accutely embarrassed to be dispatched in the way they have been to date.

They are trying but have not been good enough so far.

Is it the end of the world if they continue to lose? Of course not.

Will it be a feather in the cap of the Aussies if they can beat the best that the rest of the world can offer? You better believe it.

And if Flintoff, as you claim, is not putting in 100% but expects to be able to magically regain form in Pakistan, then Eng could be in real trouble over there.
Have to agree, when Australia lost and some of the Aussie supporters weren't happy about it (as you would), Marc got on his ego-boosting high horse and accused them from suffering from SLS.

When your hot your hot huh???POnting wins the 3rd toss in a row,and elects to bat for 3rd time in a row,When will Pollock realise DONT CALL TAILS IN AUSTRALIA,our 1 dollar coin has queens head on one side and kangaroos heads on the other, hahaha Heads wins every time. Well done R PUNTER PONTING>CLAP CLAP

The concept of this super series and test is not something thrown together in last month or so,it has been on the cards for the last 12 months. You are always going to have a winner and loser,if Aussies lose ,i am going to say oh they were not trying, they dont care, they are not worried etc, etc, you are underselling any proffesional cricketer to say they are not trying or not commited, they are at 100% they do not want or did not want to lose to Oz in ODI ot test, can you imagine how they would feel ? To simplify the loss by saying they are not trying is pretty degrading to the actual players,Yes maybe not enogh time together, not enough mateship, But not enough passion and will to win is wrong. These guys are hurting and the reason they are elite cricketers is because they have pride and are professional. You cant pick and choose games that you want to put your best into and others you cant, Anyway we wont never know as it is all hyperthetical really. Just sit back and watch the worlds 2nd best team taking on the world no 1 aussies and enjoy,,,ps expect the ROW to hit back hard in this ODI . Very hard.

I don't think bowling into pontings pads early is that good a tactic. Everyone knows his early weakness is outside the off.

I think the ROW are trying to bowl straighter to reduce the hemorrhage of runs they have suffered in the past fews matches.

That's funny because I believe that his early weakness is falling over and trying to play around his front pad

What's with the bit of green tape on the Australians sleeve? Are they covering up an advertisement?
