I can't believe the way they thrashed the spinners.

Looks like Afridi will be sitting out the 1st game!

Well they've already named a squad for the game with cover, so I don't think even 3 double centuries would change their mind.
But he is defintiely more of a chance of playing then you are. Firstly you aren't Australian which means you are ineligible for Australia, and I doubt you were in the thought of the World selectors. :p

Harwood is probably going to be the only player ever to dismiss Sehwag, Kallis, Lara and Pietersen in the same match. Wouldn't look too bad on his CV...
indeed!

did you guys see that! ? pietersen took a catch :O :P
nope cant believe that one,Your having us on here, Or they were returning the ball from keeper to fielder to bowler..Ha ,Having said all that he still took the catch of the ashes series combined and top canditate for best catch of all time, still cant believe he took that catch, sensational.
One other thing i noticed about Peiterson,i thought he looked just a normal sized bloke on the TV,but when you see him in person the guy is very tall, does anyone have any idea how tall he is?
Mind you the stumps look big from where im looking from.

Oh today was so much fun! It was a great effort from Victoria, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Just seeing all those stars so close (its one thing seeing them all at the MCG, SCG, Telstra Dome etc.) but at the Junction Oval was simply amazing. I got so many autographs, including Lara, Murali and Dravid

Sangakkara and Sehwag both looked dangerous before going out, and after that collapse with Kallis, Pietersen and Lara going for single digits (:() Gayle and Dravid recovered beautifully with Pollock smashing out at the end. For Victoria, Hodge was superb as was Klinger. Harwood was very good with the ball 2, probably the best spell of his career considering who he dismissed lol.

I have a match report brewing boys, but what needs to be said is that Ntini is the greatest bloke ever. He was absolutely hilarious, and is so much fun. He was signing autographs all day and even when he was being heckled by some drunk idiot in the crowd he was hilarious with his replies to him. Compared to Pietersen, who when abused by another idiot after the game stared him down like he was going to kill him and was quite clearly really ****ed off. Don't blame him though.

MAKHAYA YOU LEGEND :D

Cool that you met a lot/some cricketers. Always a nice feeling that. :)

Regarding Ntini - in the Calcutta test match v South Africa the bloke was fielding near the boundary. He started dancing and the crowd kept cheering him. I became a fan because of his spirit then similarly like you today.

Truely? I can't remember him dropping too many this year. It really depends on what they class as a chance I suppose.
I really don't know what is classified as a chance or not (because it such a subjective thing - there's no strict definition of it)

Certainly the %age suggests that it's a very harsh definition being used.

Dasa ,i cant agree with Kallis being omitted from the team, that guy has been the worlds best all rounder in the last year
No, he's not.

All rounders need to have to bowl as well as bat.

yea well maybe its a sign that Gayle ma not play on wednesday which would be strange....
Well he wasn't in the original 14 (somewhat bizarrely and more owing to big name factor I think)

Proof of Flintoff being better than Kallis with figures to back it up, Like i can say Stuart McGill is a better allrounder than Freddie but even though that is a stupid statement i would have to back up my point with some facts, I am trying to find the stats on these 2 over the last 2 years but aint got em yet hahaha

edit:
thought u were refering to test cricket but in ODI Freddie record is far better than Kallis
in batting & bowling in the past 2 years, go to cricinfo & research it you'll see but i dont think you should if you have been watching cricket over the past 2 years you would have realised that.....

and i'll be very interested to see your stats that Macgilla is a better all-rounder that freddie, since i find that impossible.....

Flintoff:

28 1015 123 53.42 3 6 37 4/14 22.24 0 5 0

Econ rate 4.07

Kallis:
Mat Runs HS BatAv 100 50 W BB BowlAv 5w Ct St

37 1388 139 46.26 3 10 23 3/8 40.65 0 13 0

Flintoff's batting strike rate is higher as well, but don't have the figures.
