I think Vettori is in the top 4, and its not that far fetched if people believe he's better than Kumble (whilst I don't exactly agree), but how anyone can think MacGill is a better bowler than Kumble is beyond me. I'm no MacGill basher like others, but that is ridiculous. Anyway as you said, its his opinion so fair enough.

has my man Mark said i reckon freddie is in 2nd or 3rd gear rather than 5th or 6th, the ashes must have sucked him out. But regardless of that looking at England's 2 best bowlers here i reckon they will less effective (especially Freddie) but they will have a lot of bounce.

secondly i dont see why the R.O.W selectors played an extra batsman instead of the extra bowler, they could well & pay for that later on...

I haven't really been following the match so I just noticed the World XI lineup, no Pollock? Seems rather foolish to me to go into a Test match in Australia with one specialist seamer, even if it is the SCG. The World XI selectors showing a bit too much faith in Kallis' bowling ability I guess. At least it'll keep JASON relatively happy.
