No i don't base it on that the Bulldogs are struggling im basing it on the back that apart from the winning streak his hasn't played that well. In the last two years his form has been that great, comapred to other half backs. If he could return to his form a couple years ago he would be the first guy i would pick if Johns wasn't fit but, his no where that form.

A couple of years ago? He has been playing good footy for the last three years but IMO is helped greatly by having such a good five eigth outside him in Anasta.

I honestly believe Kimmorley will get another crack and I think that in Sydney with the crowd behind him he will perform admirably and show what a class player he is.

You can't just make generalisations about Kimmorley. Give me specific games where he has played badly otherwise you cannot make comments about his performances in Origin.

I agree with you that Gower hasn't played well at Origin level when he has been playing half back but he would still stand a better chance of playing well than Finch. Gower is a top halfback. Finch would get eaten alive if he played in the second game
Mate im saying that Kimmerley has played two good games at Orgin level and both when Johns was at hooker, i can't remember the exact year they used that combination. I think it might have been after Melbourne won the comp, so 2000. The rest of his games have been average. If you want an extact game then his last game before this season two years ago aganist Langer.

Finch may get eaten up but so would Kimmerley and Gower, unless they improve their orgin form dramatically. Johns is the only real option to win the series, i think we will win they game at home regardless who places at half, but we wont win in Qld if Johns doesn'y play.

So if you feel that strongly about things why not play Barrett at 7 and Anasta at 6?

Shewin may have been play decent football but compared to other half backs his form has been nothing special in the couple of years. I hope Kimmorley doesn't and we give Johns the game.

Then you have to ask yourself who played worse at Orgin level Anasta, Grower or Kimmorley? You would be solving a problem with another problem. Johns is the best option if he gets through the game aganist Souths next week.

Anasta is suited to Origin and I believe he should be in the 17 for Game two at five eigth or lock or on the interchange.

GOWER NOT GROWER.

Johns won't be ready IMO and he wasn't even the form halfback from NSW before he got injured anyway

Anasta wont make the squad, unless Wing gets injured

Get over the spelling, its not important, especially one letter

John's form may have not been that great but that was cus he had a useless forward pack infront of him. You give him the NSW forward pack and he will run rings around QLD.

Bring it on! I don't know if the rules allow for players to use wheelchairs though, even better if the player in question has only played about 8 games in 18 months.

i hope we go with tronc and not nutley, or even a bench of mcguire, flannery, bowen and webb is still good with ross starting...

Get Ross out of the side. Nutley and Tronc should both come in.

nutley is useless, he has a high workrate, buts its all ineffective. hes quantity over quality...

Sherwin is better than those four anyway. Both Kimmorley & Gower have been proven to be useless at Origin level, and Johns is too injury prone and well past his best and Orford only takes control of a game when his team is 30 points ahead. He hardly ever gets Melbourne out of hole.
Orford is just like most other halves, if his forward pack are getting plenty of metres up front then yes he plays well. In fact they would have to so he can play to Melbourne 30 points ahead.

I don't know why Melbourne are so intent on keeping Orford, they'd be better off making a play for Monagahan (sp) or Berrick Barnes, go for someone else.

Orford has been good for them, its always a risk bringing in a new play maker, sometimes they just dont suit the rest of the team. Monaghan will stay at Manly imo...
