Well if you watched the game you would have seen he played better then Grower in the 1st game and Kimmorley last game. Both Gower and Kimmorley have never converted their club form into State of Orgin, both Finch and Johns are better options.

Finch is not an option, it is laughable that you think he is. It would be a big kick in the teeth if Ricky Stuart selected him for Matt Orford. I wouldn't write Kimomorley off either. He just had a bad night. He has got lots of experience at club and international level and has a lot to offer IMO

Tim Smith anyone? Maybe early days yet, but I think he's top of the assist table this year.

IIRC The Sharks play The Eels this weekend too, be interesting to see how they go against each other. Kimmorley had a mare on Wednesday. Smith has a quality kicking game too, think he'd go well in Union.

Sounds like it was a pretty amazing game. Big squeak from The Maroons to jib that lead, but from what I've read Kimmorley's pass for the intercept was a shocker.

It was shown live over here, but unfortunately I was at work. Hopefully catch the highlights before AC-Scousers game tonight.

Although you could argue Trent Barrett's little grubber 60m out was also an indication of a lack of something upstairs...

Tim is 100% Queenslander BB , he played in a curtin raiser for Queensland (and got sent off so I heard) back in 2002 when they played at ANZ.

What about Brett Finch he get really well in his orgin debut and his abilty to kick bombs will test Slater more then anyone. I think he game more suited to orgin then Kimmorley, Grower or Orford. If Johns still looks crap when he makes his debut then i would bring back Finch.

Finch is crap. An in form Sherwin is the best half back NSW has.

Kimmorley may have a lot of experience at international and club level but his continues not preformed at State of orgin level. Grower also hasn't performed at State of Orgin level at half back. So if Johns isn't fit, regardless of his form, then your better going for Orford or Finch.

Mate Sherwin is nothing special, his no where near the form he was back when the Bulldogs went on the winning streak, if he get back to that form or near that form then he might be a option. He well down the list of options, unless we have some massive injuries his got no chance.

You can't just make generalisations about Kimmorley. Give me specific games where he has played badly otherwise you cannot make comments about his performances in Origin.

I agree with you that Gower hasn't played well at Origin level when he has been playing half back but he would still stand a better chance of playing well than Finch. Gower is a top halfback. Finch would get eaten alive if he played in the second game

No i don't base it on that the Bulldogs are struggling im basing it on the back that apart from the winning streak his hasn't played that well. In the last two years his form has been that great, comapred to other half backs. If he could return to his form a couple years ago he would be the first guy i would pick if Johns wasn't fit but, his no where that form.
