After years of enduring Andrew Gee, I think we owe you quite a few cheap shots yet.

Nice reaction from you though....

Sounds like it was a pretty amazing game. Big squeak from The Maroons to jib that lead, but from what I've read Kimmorley's pass for the intercept was a shocker.

It was shown live over here, but unfortunately I was at work. Hopefully catch the highlights before AC-Scousers game tonight.

In the end, I didn't really barrack for anyone except for the Blues at 19-0 and it looked like being a blow out. As soon as the game got even again, I didn't seem to care. Very unusual for me.

I hope Kimmorley gets everything that should come to him. He had one of the worst games I've ever seen a playmaker have. Especially after he announced to the world he was going to dominate Origin. Well, not exactly that, poetic license :p .

And kudos to Hindmarsh, in the first 25 minutes he was unbelievable.

Lockyer had two chances to win the match for QLD and couldn't come up trumps, but Thurston was awesome all match, Slater had a good first half and Price and Civonaceva (sp) were inspiring. One of the best games I've ever seen.

Just watching the highlights now, Minichiello did really well under shed-load of pressure. Webb seemed determined to get himself binned too, lucky boy.

Lol, I hate QLD, but this reminds me of what i'm like when results go my way in the AFL.

Good effort by the Blues to come back though. As i'm watching delayed right now, they are at 17-0 i think.

Well in the first 20-25 minutes Bailey and Ryles will be one the field so i doubt Queensland will have a size advantage unless Webb or Ross start. So wouldn't the size advantage be win they come off.

What are you on about?

Queensland had a bigger pack which dominated for longer than expected (first 50 or so minutes) and then when they began to tire the Blues started throwing the ball around and cut QLD to pieces.

As Gus Gould said Everything that everyone predicted would happen pretty much happened

haha matty bowen! What a dead set legend! Queensland were the better team for most of the match, with NSW being the better team for about 20 minutes.

I knew Lockyer wouldn't get that conversion though... he's such a **** goal kicker. Anyway top win to QLD in front of 52,480 odd people :D

Great game. It had everything and brilliance oozed from all 34 players. I couldn't watch it live because of my English exam ( ), but my grandad taped it for me.

Ty Williams' try looked a bit suspect, though...

i didn't think it was that great a game, QLD definatley deserved to win, Kimmorley was truely awful, he didn't get one good kick away all night. though Lockyer deciding to take the place kick and missing was almost as funny.

haha, yeah just a bit. Then again, some of the passes leading up to a couple of NSW tries were borderline too i guess.

I think we'll see a couple of more big men added for game 2 in the NSW side. They had no room to move in the first half and, as we saw, only got going when QLD tired.

On a positive note, they only played well for about 25 mins and it was even after 80. Another 1/2 a fingertip on that field goal and we wouldn't have heard from broncoman last night.

King's inside pass to buderus, notice king passed it 23 metres out from the line and buders caught it on the 20, even with some doubt for the ball "floating" foward, thats still 3 metres!

i challenge anyone to PROVE that ball his Billy Slaters hand or arm. thats the exact reason benefit of the doubt to the attacking team rule was brought in...

Yet the benefit of the doubt to the attacking team didn't come in for the held up in goal. I'd suggest that the ref wasn't sure when he first went to the video ref, yet he then makes the call of 'no try' when it's referred back to him. Going to the video ref surely indicates 'doubt'. I am nearly definate I saw it hit at least one of Slater's fingers (seeing as though it only has to hit the tip) but I can't sit down with you and prove it.

nah that was all knee from slater, id like to see him do that again ;)
I don't think it was...but then when you're talking about the benefit of the doubt, if you think it was all knee but aren't sure or think there was a touch but aren't sure that's two elements of doubt that are in direct opposition to each other - yet according to the rule doubt goes to the attacking team, so you can't lose! :D
