***Official*** South Africa v West Indies

This is going to be a very interesting 5th day indeed. Sarwan, Bravo and Browne really need to add another 50 runs at least to give WI a decent chance; if they can bat out the entire first session then I think RSA will face a very difficult task. If the two at the crease fall early it will be a very different story, however, as the WI 9/10/11 all bat with varying degrees of uselessness. :(

10 in the match now for Ntini. He's leading the wicket taking for the year comfortably now, and he won it in 2003. He seems to get a hell of a lot of wickets for a bowler with a pretty poor average.

Go Makkie :)
However, following this on Cricinfo, it sounds like Nella wasting the new ball. If SA can restrict the lead to under 200 they're in with a shout, but right now this Test match could go three ways. Right now, I would say a SA win is the most likely result.

Nel gets one now. West Indies getting shredded, and will need a miraculous bowling performance from here to take it, one would think. A draw seems almost out of the question now excluding weather issues.

 This is really sad. WI have played really well for most of the first two Tests, and I hope they are not about to throw it all away with one lousy batting performance. It's not over yet of course, but I'm not confident that Sarwan will be able to monopolise the strike to protect Collins and co.

Disappointing dismissals for Bravo and Browne. Magnificent hundred for Sarwan though. Undoubtedly his finest in my estimation. If the West Indies somehow wins this match, he's my Man of the Match.

Reon King is going to have to put in the best performance of his batting career now. :(

Think there's an argument for Sarwan smacking at everything now...King's gonna leave pretty soon after all, might as well get up a big target...

He's already done an outstanding job by surviving those two short balls from Ntini. The third was a poor delivery.

Yes, I'm unsure whether Sarwan should look for the boundaries or try the 'block, block, block, block, block, single' tactic. It looks as though he is attempting the former. King is getting softened up with a few bouncers from Ntini now, just waiting for the inevitable yorker to end the innings. :(

King bowled. :p

Applause Ramnaresh Sarwan. Now to get the ball straight and hope the pitch gives South Africa the same horrors.

Well he was trying his best to take singles, but couldn't pierce the field. It's one of the hardest of tactics in cricket to carry through.

Didn't have to wait long. Well done Ntini for the innings and the match, congrats to Sarwan too. Hopefully the WI bowlers will give the batsmen something to think about, at the least.

144 in 78 overs - think King needs to turn out something special with the ball.

Dire scorecard to read, though. Eight single figures, four single figures in balls faced, seven people left without hitting boundaries...
