It was stated above to be Allan Border I believe.BoyBrumby said:Dunno for certain, but I'd guess Clive Lloyd. Most of his tests were as captain.
And a 180. Not much significance in it though. I don't see why 196 should be considered so inferior to 200. It's only 4 more runs. It's a shame that stats have seemingly depreciated what really are class efforts by stating that 90s, 190s, etc. are less meaningful than 100s and 200s respectively. All the hard work is in that first 90/190 runs.Adamc said:Just to continue the pattern:
That's 7x200 and 2x190 for Lara now.
Quite true. Serves me right for not paying attention properly.Mr Mxyzptlk said:It was stated above to be Allan Border I believe.
So you honestly believe Baugh is a better gloveman than Browne?roseboy64 said:Well Browne just dropped another catch. If you need experience there's Lara and Chanderpaul and Gayle, Sarwan and even Hinds. The catches he's taken are those that any wicket keeper worth his salt should take and his batting is nothing spectacular really. Sometimes he looks like he shouldn't even be playing FC cricket. Either Dinesh Ramdin or Carlton Baugh should replace.
To be honest he's not really shown me anything at Test level to suggest that. Yes he had that one good innings in England, but he's been largely brainless at the crease. He needs to snap out Dwyane Smith syndrome first.roseboy64 said:Not sure about that but he can't do any worse really. He's surely a better batsman that's certain.
were you at sabina park on the first & last day of the test, because those were the days when i heard the blokes in the Headley stand saying itroseboy64 said:I'm not sure what they were calling him. The closest thing to what you said i'm thinking of but i don't think they called him that.
Had some short-ball issues too, IIRC.Mr Mxyzptlk said:To be honest he's not really shown me anything at Test level to suggest that. Yes he had that one good innings in England, but he's been largely brainless at the crease. He needs to snap out Dwyane Smith syndrome first.
He didn't really have any issues with them. He was just too brainless to do anything than dab harmless short balls to slip.Neil Pickup said:Had some short-ball issues too, IIRC.

Also, I had a class this morning and didn't figure I'd want to go for half a day.
well sarwan hasn't had a great return hasn't heMr Mxyzptlk said:Sarwan drops a simple catch off Kallis. Kallis to score a big hundred now.
I'm so thrilled to have Mr. Sarwan back in the team. Clearly he's focussed and values his place, as he's shown in abundance so far.
