That was an absolute horror!

Maybe Dar has misinterpreted the LBW rule - give it out when it's missing leg rather than hitting.

Hmmm, takes on greater importance with Warne gone as well.

Uh... it hit him on the full... in line with the stumps.... that's out. OUT.

(this is the Symonds lbw I'm talking about)

So the fact that it was missing leg by a foot is irrelevant?

How can you think that was out? it was swinging down leg easily.

Justice has been served. However still think that SA has been hard done by. 3 LBW's that should have been out and 2 lost wickets yesterday. Anyway its the game of cricket and Im loving it right now.

Once against Symond prooves that he is a ODI player and not a Test player. He can only perform when there is no pressure on him and he can swing at the ball like a baboon.

3 decisions going against South Africans, one against Australians.

Its been a weird day to say the least. At least RSA is on top again rightly after very irritating two sessions.

Worst decision you'll ever see
It wasn't out but it really wasn't THAT bad. It's just when you consider all the plumb ones he didn't give. Worst decision I've ever seen was definitely Simon Jones not being given LBW at Edgbaston to Lee. I wish Bowden and Dar were Australian. Then I wouldn't have to watch games they umpire in.

Erm no... it was going way down leg side. You're obviously getting confused with the rule in regards to a spinning ball; that if you are hit on the full, the umpire must assume the ball is not going to spin. In this case, Symonds was hit, just in line with leg stump, and it was clearly going down leg side.

I thought it was once it hits you on the full inline?
No. Once it hits you on the full inline, the umpire has to assume that the ball is going to follow its present line, not that it's going to hit the stumps just because it hits you inline.

Lets not forget Smith's caught behind and Lee's LBW's that weren't given.

THat's with spinners...if the ball hits you on the full in line with the stumps, the umpires have to assume the ball is going straight on the line of the ball (i.e. disregard any spin that may have occurred had the ball pitched). Symond's LBW was hit in line with leg and clearly the line of the ball was taking it further past leg-stump....although the Aussies can't be too unhappy about that, quite a few very poor decisions have been to their advantage.
