haha, that was a silly Billy classic , but i think the caught behind Sheperd gave to Jacobs of Lee in Antigua is a bit worst than thatJames90 said:Worst decision I've ever seen was definitely Simon Jones not being given LBW at Edgbaston to Lee.
Ah ok ta.Dasa said:THat's with spinners...if the ball hits you on the full in line with the stumps, the umpires have to assume the ball is going straight on the line of the ball (i.e. disregard any spin that may have occurred had the ball pitched). Symond's LBW was hit in line with leg and clearly the line of the ball was taking it further past leg-stump....although the Aussies can't be too unhappy about that, quite a few very poor decisions have been to their advantage.
Are you protesting the umpires offering the light, or the batsmen taking it? Cause of course Australia are going to take the light, as they don't mind getting a draw.howardj said:Dont tell me that they just went off for bad light! What a joke. It's 3:30pm and the lights are on. How precious are some of these guys?
Symonds should have been given out earlier though, anyway.parttimer said:Both of these umpires have no idea what constituents an LB. Hussey and Ponting both should have been out earlier and now Dar puts Symonds career in jepardy. Disgraceful.

Actually it was likely Symonds would have been out on one of the two shouts Langeveldt had against him earlier and he was lucky to survive beyond that over.and now Dar puts Symonds career in jepardy. Disgraceful.
Umpires offering it, that's what grates.andyc said:Are you protesting the umpires offering the light, or the batsmen taking it? Cause of course Australia are going to take the light, as they don't mind getting a draw.
Can we please have the video umpire. It astounds me that people still oppose it.Josh said:Disgusting decision by Aleem Dar. An absolute disgrace. Worst umpiring I've seen in a while.
I've always thought Dar was pathetic this just confirms it. Woeful. Boggles the mind.
To be fair South Africa have bowled very well.aussie said:Australia got to harden up this middle-order soon, all these collapses aren't good at all or else they wont win the ashes next year.
Ive said it before, Hodge and Symonds do not belong. With Symonds that's already strikingly apparent. With Hodge, in the fullness of time it will become apparent. Clarke and Watson (eventually) are the men, I reckon.aussie said:Australia got to harden up this middle-order soon, all these collapses aren't good at all or else they wont win the ashes next year.
yep, and i expect england to be just as good or even a bit better next year so if this middle order doesn't get solid especially at #4, 6,7 they aint going to win back the ashes & might even have a though time of it in SA in 2 months time.Josh said:To be fair South Africa have bowled very well.
yes that would be well appreciated IMOPratyush said:Just bring back Martyn for the time being and it will be fine.
