Dar obviously thought he hit it. Pretty poor decision.

No. Im positive that Dar would have thought that it pitched outside leg-stump. His bat was nowhere near the action when the ball struck the pad. Anyway, once again, Ponting looks like a million dollars. When he gets in, it just looks like the opposition dont stand a chance of removing him. Similar to Dravid in that regard.

Australia has named its squad for the Twenty20 game against South Africa on January 9. Great to see Damien Martyn - in what surely is a pointer to his selection in the ODI squad - is still in the frame.

has i just posted in the other thread whats Johnson doing their where is Hogg? & even if they wanted leave leave hogg out for this game & go for 4 seamers pick someone like Kaspa or Dizzy to give the attack a decent look instead of a rookie.

I really don't like the look of this bowling lineup. Hopefully McGrath, Lee and Bracken will do the most of it during the VB Series. As one who's going to the game it's a real shame that there will be no Gilchrist, Lee, McGrath and probably not Kallis.

Chappell's continual criticism of Kallis is getting beyond rediculous.

Chappell claims to be an advocate of "playing your natural game", but if you natural game is being aggressive and taking it to the bowlers. If your natural game is occupying the crease and showing good defensive technique, then hes the first one to jump on your back about having to dominate the bowling. Clearly double standard IMO.

Another plumb LBW given not out. Australia's bad luck with the umpires early on in the match has turned right around. I really don't like Bowden or Aleem Dar.

Ponting's just been unstoppable all summer.
I know, he's been incredible. Pity there about Hussey getting out, he had really worked hard and deserved a 50. Tough time here for Symonds, having to either play slowly and risk getting out for a low score again, or playing out and risk getting out for a low score again.
