Hodge + Symonds = record partnership??

I hope so :D
Nope, Symonds out for 25, Langs gets his third.
Gilchrist in now, am praying for something good for him

Does anyone else find Nel great to watch? You just don't see people like him playing international cricket any more. He's hilarious.
He's a nutbag.

After he delivers one he always looks across to his teammates to see if they're applauding him.....that's after he's given the batsman a gobful.

I wouldn't want to get trapped in a dark alley with him.

The guy's a tool and should be cited if all the administrators are fair dinkum about enforcing the spirit of cricket rules.

The lowest batting average in Australia's top 7 right now is Justin Langer's 46.02. :p
 I don't getcha. There has to be a catch.

What about Symonds? And if you include Brett Lee, who is in the top 7 right now, his average is only 20 :p

Why stop there? Why not replace the people with robots so that all of those nasty facial expressions and words don't bother you any more?

Haven't been watching cricket long have we? Really, the attention Nel gets is ridiculous; he's a *****-cat compared to most bowlers even 10 years ago. And even then, all he does is huff and puff and stare. Big deal. If anything those exaggerated Jean-Claude Van-Damm-esque facial expressions are just funny and certainly the batsmen just have a laugh at him.

I didn't see his innings yesterday, but I'm really starting to rate Lee as a batsman. He's averaging just about 21 right now but he's really been batting well recently. The two fours he hit straight down the ground in the first innings were all class. Despite this, he bats behind Warne and on Channel 9, Warne gets the allrounder symbol next to his name on the team lists but Lee doesn't. Plus, he's averaging more than Symonds :p

Are you serious? Cricket needs characters like him. It keeps people like me watching the game.

Channel Nine should leave the space where they usually denote whether a player is a batsman/bowler/keeper/all-rounder blank for Andrew Symonds.

Speed is going in the right direction, just think cricket could end up as exciting as tennis!
...or, if we were lucky enough, we could have the same sort of enthralling characters as golf.

The innings of Lee's recently that really impressed me was the unbeaten 40 odd he made against Pakistan in an ODI last year. It was total class.

Warne, too, has been batting extremely well, averaging 22 this year.

I suppose Symonds ability needs to be questioned now. He doesn't seem to be able to play anything square of the wicket which is whats needed at Perth. Guiding the ball down to third man all the time won't cut it.. he's got to start playing the cut shot.

Warne and MacGill have to play together in Sydney and for that to happen I think you need a third seamer. Unless there's another option I think they'll have to persist with Symonds. Could they bat Gilchrist at 6 and have Warne-Lee as 7 and 8? With Gilly's current form I doubt it but that's a possibility.
