Pretty fun event I thought, first one I've watched since Wrestlemania. Was pretty stoked that Kane won the Smackdown MitB, not exactly building up young stars but always felt Kane has deserved another title run and I am guessing they've given it to him once more to say "thanks very much" before he retires, and also as a way to further the storyline with him and Jack Swagger. Wasn't expecting it at all either so it was a nice surprise. Loved the Raw one, was fairly convinced Randy Orton was gonna win it myself and didn't think he should, so I was stoked when the Miz won, he's a gun. Cage match was pretty entertaining as well, although I was pretty baffled when Sheamus had the RNC on Cena and he climbed up the cage with him on his back only to do nothing with it. What was the point? Nexus involvement was hilarious as well, that ref running out of nowhere and stealing the bolt cutter from Tarver was one of the best things ever, funny as hell.

Favourite spots of the night were when Big Show got covered in ladders and the way the RAW guys took Mark Henry out, that was an awesome little sequence and I don't think i've ever seen anyone make Edges spear look so sweet, especially not someone as huge as Mark Henry. Kofi's massive arse drop on the scotsman was awesome as well.

One thing that's been randomly bugging me, I love Cody Rhodes and have nothing against his new dashing gimmick, but does anyone find his entrance to be really stupid? It's all well and good him playing up looking in the mirror and sorting his eyebrows out and stuff, apart from the fact that everyone can see that he can't actually see a reflection of himself and he is just checking out some **** grey screen. Looks dumb as hell to me.

Good show tonight and I'm fine with Kane winning. Definitely a pat on the back for all these years of loyal service to the WWE. I think this would tie in to Undertaker coming back at Summerslam and it looks like it's going to be a World Heavyweight Championship match between the two of them again.

The Miz winning was absolutely awesome. He deserves it after having a such a great year and developing into one of the biggest rising stars in the WWE. Who would've thought that The Miz would be one of the best performers in WWE? Much credit to him though and I hope he does become WWE Champion soon.

Miz is pretty much the most improved guy on the roster at the moment, and in fact, I can't think of anyone else off the top of my head who has improved at the same rate has been in all my time of watching wrestling. He's gone from being a complete joke to a good tag team competitor to a comedy hell to a legit upper-midcarder on the cusp of the main event in a very short space of time. WAG.

My initial reaction to the Kane thing was extremely negative. Granted he deserves a thank you reign as champ, but it does seem a bit of a waste to have him get it at this time and in this fashion. The fact that it is likely to tie into some sort of storyline with the Undertaker means that it seems to have some greater logic to it and actually makes it a bit interesting though, so I'm not really that bothered about it. From herein though I expect to see him turn heel and for it to sooner or later be revealed that it was in fact him who tried to kill the Undertaker or whatever..

Good show, both of the ladder matches were very well executed and the Rey-Swagger match was one of the best this year. Is there any more consistent performer than Rey Rey in wrestling over the previous 18 months?

Raw was off the charts good today! Everything about the show from start to finish was stellar. The opening match with Randy Orton, Chris Jericho and Edge was exciting and fast paced and very well booked.

The promo with Chris Jericho, Edge and Nexus was even better. I loved how Chris Jericho and Edge played up their rivalry and the segment got even better when Nexus beat them both up. This of course would set up a huge angle that went down at the end of the show.

The segment between Sheamus and The Miz was unbelievable. I genuinely thought that The Miz was cashing in on Raw but R Truth put a stop to that. Having The Miz try to cash in wrongly a few times works for me. As entertaining as he is I think he can get a lot out of being the Money in the Bank winner and could run with this for the next year. Hopefully The Miz can become WWE Champion soon.

The end segment with Nexus and Cena was outstanding. I haven't been this excited watching an ending to Raw in years. I genuinely was really surprised to see John Cena, Edge and Chris Jericho on the same team and having R-Truth, John Morrison and The Great Khali on the team gives some of these lower card guys a bit of the spotlight. I was also genuinely surprised to see Bret Hart back on Raw and it just made that last segment even better.

Brilliant Raw this week and it continues the great shows we've had over the past month. Thanks to the Nexus angle, WWE is doing a great job with their shows.

As usual you provide my opinions before I do :)

Just so good. Already hyped for Summerslam. Would love to see them do this 7 on 7 as a War Games, but hey, however they do it it is going to be awesome.

Quiet round these parts lately. Shame as this week's WWE programming has been tremendous. Raw was top drawer, NXT was entertaining and Smackdown had some great matches. Rey Rey and Swagger had one of the best TV matches of the year following on from their top-drawer PPV match. Rey Rey has been arguably the top performer in WWE for about two years now in terms of match quality. He very rarely fails to deliver.

I'd say it is compulsory viewing, atm, it really is looking like WWE is getting their product together.

Not sure if I'd recommended it before but check out www.spoonyexperiment.com , this guy has some really funny reactions to WWE Raw and TNA Impact - especially Impact. The way he destroyed this week's promo with Jeff Jarrett and Kevin Nash was brutal and brilliant - though, tbh, I'm still unsure what they were talking about there.

I think to be fair to TNA, an ECW reunion PPV is a great idea. It's just a shame nobody thought to do it five years ago.

Was such an epic night, perfect reminder of why ECW was so much better than any other organisation when they were at the peak of their performance, perfect mix of pure wrestling, lucha libre and insane ****. Dudleyz vs Sandman and Dreamer was awesome. might have to watch that event again tonight fgj

Raw was a pretty solid show again. Great promo by Cena and Jericho to kick things off, solid booking of the Nexus angle with Cena's team showing a lack of unity and a pretty good main event match with Cena and Jericho vs Sheamus and The Miz. The crowd was great too. Chris Jericho even though is still a heel was over big time as a babyface which was awesome.

Yeah, I loved Raw, really enjoyed it and I'm really hyped for Summerslam. Just checked into 411 to check the reaction and was surprised to see it being slammed. Well, not surprised per se as the writers on that site know about as much as wrestling as a refrigerator but still.

What did you think of Chris Jericho getting such a big reaction as a babyface on Raw? I thought it was awesome. I'd be surprised if he wasn't a babyface sometime soon.

Yeah, the response he got was great but so was the way he played up to it as well, as I guess that's the way he will have to roll at Summerslam. I absolutely adore his heel work but a face turn wouldn't be a bad thing, although he'd be behind Cena & Orton in the pecking order, but then again is a Cena heel turn on the cards? Who knows. I am finding this whole thing fascinating and I really hope Nexus win at Summerslam as as far as I am concerned this storyline should only just be getting started. And I know the 'marks' want Nexus to be ripped apart ASAP which means there is money to be made in waiting until down the line before they are defeated.
