My tips for tonight:

Raw Elimination Chamber Match: John Cena to win this. The only other guy who could win is Chris Jericho and he won't as he's tied up with Flair, Rourke and potentially Steve Austin.

Smackdown Elimination Chamber Match: Edge to win this. Although Triple H and Undertaker make strong claims and both could very well go into Wrestlemania as WWE Champion.

Randy Orton vs Shane McMahon: Randy Orton to win this and Shane will be punted and another McMahon goes down because of Orton.

Shawn Michaels vs JBL: Shawn Michaels to win this because it's all or nothing. It wouldn't really make any sense for JBL to win and for this feud to continue.

ECW Championship Match - Jack Swagger vs Finlay: Jack Swagger to win this comfortably and to go on to face Christian at Wrestlemania 25 for the ECW Championship.

Look out for a potential Christian promo segment or Christian match between a person like Shelton Benjamin who for some strange reason is not on the PPV card or somebody like Brian Kendrick who also has been forgotten about as of late.
Would agree with all of this, except that JBL will most likely beat Michaels, so that he can force HBK into the inevitable WrestleMania match against Undertaker. If HBK wins, he's back to being an out-and-out face, he's got no angle ongoing and no reason to take on Undertaker. If JBL wins, there's an obvious angle there. This major feud isn't ending a month before the biggest show of the year - there's a while left in it yet.

Incidentally, I'm watching NWO with mates on Wednesday night, so I'll be out of this thread for a few days. Enjoy the show, lads. :)

Tips for tonight anyone?

I'm just reading over previous NWO results on the WWE site. The main event in 98 was:

Stone Cold Steve Austin, Cactus Jack, Chainsaw Charlie & Owen Hart def. Triple H, The New Age Outlaws & Savio Vega in a No Disqualification Eight-Man Tag Team Match.

IIRC, Shawn Michaels was meant to fight in this. Now obviously he was pretty much crippled by then, hence his disappearance from physical wrestling for 4 years after dropping the belt at WM14. But what was the storyline reason given for his absence from this match and replacement by Savoi Vega (!!) ? Can anyone remember?
From Wiki:
Jim Ross revealed at the beginning of the pay-per-view that Shawn Michaels would not be taking part in the eight-man tag match main event due to injuries he had sustained during a casket match with The Undertaker the month before. JR also announced that owing to the heated nature of the fight, the WWF did not want to accept any responsibility for the bout, making it an unsanctioned match.
As far as I can see, there was no storyline reason for Savio coming in - he was just the last minute replacement.

Edge eliminated first from the Elimination Chamber!

Didn't see that one coming. This isn't good as it looks like Triple H is going away with the WWE Championship.

Holy Crap!

Edge eliminates John Cena from the Elimination Chamber with the help of Chris Jericho and Rey Mysterio. The Elimination Chamber comes down to Edge, Chris Jericho and Rey Mysterio. This is fantastic stuff!

Now Chris Jericho is eliminated as well! Edge has to win this from here!

Edge loses the WWE Championship but is now the new World Heavyweight Champion!

His eighth title reign as World Champion! Did not see this coming at all! Good job WWE!

I did as soon as you told me he whacked Kingston TBH. Still gun though considering its Edge.

I meant to say I didn't see the whole Edge whacking Kofi part of it culminating into his World Title win. It was pretty obvious to see that Edge would win it once it came down to him, Jericho and Rey Mysterio.

Eh, I don't like the huge amount of title changes at the moment. I know they are trying to create a feel of 'anything can happen', but they've not found the balance of how many changes should take place.

I find it pretty ridiculous that Edge has eight world title reigns in three years.

That being said, NWO was a very nice show - purely because of the Chamber matches. As much as I love JBL, I don't think he's got it any more in the ring. Swagger-Finlay was solid, but the crowd was DEAD. And Orton-McMahon was just disjointed.

Will be very interesting to see where they go with WM; just when Orton-Cena looked like a lock, they've swerved us.

I only watched the first match which was really enjoyable - was baffled by Edge's early exit and now it all makes sense!

What do people think about this year's Wrestlemania? I think the card is virtually set in stone.

World Heavyweight Championship Match:

Edge vs Cena

WWE Championship Match:

Triple H vs Randy Orton

ECW Championship Match:

Jack Swagger vs Christian

Other Matches:

Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker

Chris Jericho vs Steve Austin

Matt Hardy vs Jeff Hardy

Money in the Bank Match

That's a pretty awesome Wrestlemania card right there and with matches like these, I think it will be a great show.

That card really brings tears to my eyes. Don't know most of the guys or haven't seen them wrestle or remember them as larks. Oldness, your name is me.

I guess I know what you mean. I've been following WWE and WCW for a long, long time. The only difference I guess is that I've kept up to date with the product. I'm sure you still remember the Jericho's, Triple H's and Undertaker's of this world.

The young guys like John Cena, Randy Orton and Jack Swagger are very talented and guys like Edge and Christian, who were mainly humorous characters back in the day have become legitimate top level superstars because they have unrivalled charisma and are exceptional in ring performers.

It's been exciting seeing the WWE evolve over the years and at the moment the quality of the shows is as good as it's ever been.
