Would rather Regal and Kendrick and get rid of Kennedy tbh. I remember that 4 team ladder match with London/Kendrick vs the Hardys vs Regal/Taylor vs MNM where Joey Mercury got his face destroyed, and Regal was pulling out some pretty sick suplex+ladder combinations. Not that I don't think Kennedy would go all out and pull off some nice spots but I would prefer to see what Regal has to offer.

also, just read a pretty nice interview with Jerry Lawler on The Sun website. Felt he made a good point about Jericho while discussing that incidient with a fan a few days ago:

Did you see that Chris Jericho clip on our website or YouTube? What did you think of it?

I have not seen it but I heard them talking about it last week at the show – Vince was kinda chuckling about it.

Vince and I were talking and Jericho walked by and he said: “Watch out! Jericho will hit you! He’ll knock you right down!”

Then he adds: “Especially if you’re a girl!”

Everybody is having a joke about it and to me it’s not a big deal, because that used to be very prevalent in the past.

We used to be able to get the fans so riled up that they literally wanted to physically attack you after the matches.

That hasn’t happened in a long time, so it’s almost like hats off to Chris Jericho – for doing his job.

He’s being the best bad guy that he can be.

And it’s working as he’s making the people so mad at him that they want to get physical with him themselves.
Hadn't really thought about it that way before but he's right, ever since the whole IWC crap and all the easy access to backstage workings of the wrestling business crap like this has almost entirely disappeared, but even in our current climate Jericho has managed to be such a complete bastard that people want to legitimately kill him anyway. Good to know that people like Vince are taking notice of this sort of thing. :)

Full interview here if anyone wants to give it a read.

edit: awesome stat that the King is the most decorated wrestler in the history of the business as well. 156 championships! what a beast.

Barney, I highly doubt that Hulk Hogan would even show up at Wrestlemania let alone face Cena. Now that match could blow the roof off the stadium but I doubt it'll happen. They are clearly building towards Edge vs Cena at Wrestlemania. If Hogan does show up, he's more likely to go up against Chris Jericho.

Hogan admitted a few days ago that he and Vince have had discussions. He claimed that they couldn't work out a scenario that would allow him to insert himself into current storylines, which is clearly bull****, seeing as there's numerous ways they could do that. It struck me as potentially being a work, but it could just be Hogan blowing smoke as usual.

However, I've read in more than one place in the last week that the E wants to get Hogan on the card in some capacity, as they feel he'd up the buyrate significantly.

Sonjay Dutt has left TNA and declined to sign a new contract with the company. The list of wrestlers that TNA has let go recently includes R-Truth, Gail Kim, Christian Cage, Petey Williams and now Sonjay Dutt.

TNA, what are you guys doing? Their talent is just walking out and you know this economic downturn is hurting their product. After all with so many PPV's and the advent of the internet, how many people would actually be buying TNA PPV's? Interesting times ahead for TNA it seems.

Yeah, this is a really dumb move. As has been said by a lot of people, it'd be fun to see Dutt go to WWE and form an "odd couple" tag team with The Great Khali.

I really think that if Kurt Angle leaves TNA in September when his contract is up, and decides to come back to WWE, then it'll be a maximum of two years before TNA goes out of business. They're making stupid decisions like letting their young talent go, and allowing big names like Angle and Booker to dominate the main event scene - but these main event talents won't be around for ever. TNA is in a fast decline.

Keep Hogan away from WWE for mine. Bloke just flat our repulses me these days. Him and his family whoring themselves out for another paycheck would probably stop me from buying the show tbh. Austin coming back would be teh *** though.

Got to say, Raw was pretty decent this week. Chris Jericho is absolutely untouchable and turns every segment he's in to a must watch. The segment with Ricky Steamboat was great.

What made it better was if you have read Jericho's book you will know that Jericho's childhood hero was Ricky Steamboat and the story of how he first met Steamboat at an autograph session as a teenager. It was great to see Steamboat again too. This has to be building towards a Steve Austin and Chris Jericho showdown, it has to be.

The triple threat between CM Punk, John Morrison and The Miz was pretty good too. Three really talented young stars performing well here tonight. Really looking forward to tomorrow's ECW with Christian facing off against Jack Swagger. Apparently Christian got a bigger cheer from the crowd than Cena and Shawn Michaels, and the match was match of the night so it'll be interesting to see how that plays tomorrow.

Great to hear that about Christian, not heard anything about the match yet but I'm assuming he didn't win the title?

Jericho's segments with the Legends so far have been out of this world. I wasn't originally sold on Austin-Jericho as I didn't know how they were going to play it out when it was first mentioned about two months ago, but right now I'm praying for it.

The moment when the glass shatters and we finally get a confrontation between the two is going to be one of the biggest mark-out moments in history if they keep building it like this. I'd say it's likely this will happen next week.

True, but then that rumour was based on an advertising spot in a local paper or something. These rumours are the ones that change the most often, and are the least reliable.
I think I read it on wiki, though obviously that's not the most reliable.

Just watched Raw tonight, loving Jericho's current angle, and Triple H's intensity reminds me of the old days (like when it turned out it was him who masterminded Austin's running over all along, sure the storyline was as predictable as ****, but his interview was just amazing)

Without checking, it's as follows:

WWE - Triple H

US - Shelton Benjamin
ECW - Jack Swagger

not sure on either of the tag champs tbh

Tag champs are Miz and Morrison on Raw (but technically ECW roster members, also occasionally competing on SmackDown), and The Colóns on SmackDown, Carlito and his brother Primo.

Yeah, I got bored of jokey, DX-style Triple H pretty quickly. Similarly, "I am the Game and I am that damn good" Triple H also gets dull in a hurry.

However, what never gets old is "I am the Game and I am going to ****ing kill you". The guy does seething rage and intensity like no-one I've ever seen.

Jericho has had a remarkable couple of years. The Piper and now Steamboat promo's were everything we want from Pro Wrestling. Fantastic entertainment without insulting anyone's intelligence and not pandering to the lowest common denominator.

I hope the guy gets the appreciation he deserves for being able to thrive with a high brow gimmick in this generation of wrestling.
