Im delighted Watson is in the 11, MacGill will also be pumped for a big game to prove hes still our second best spinner, a few things ill be interested in are, will Watson bat above or below gilchrist, i suspect Watson will bat at 7, also, should Macgill bat below McGrath, i remember steve waugh saying that the nest time macgill and mcgrath played together, mcgrath would bat at 10... i think the time has come for pige to move up to 10...

yeah, i think they made the right choice and I think kasper will understand that he hasn't been dropped as such, it's just that this pitch requires a different balance to the side. he'll certainly be back for the nz tests.

Yes he will.. he has been named in the 11 with MacGill.. Kaspa is 12th man.
I hope they lose.

I don't get if they wanna spawn young players (e.g. with Watson) why then are they playing MacGill??

Maybe India should think of playing her as their strike bowler since their bowling is pretty much weak lol (joke).....No intent to offend any Indian here

I dont remember but did Mcgrath bat at 11 when Macgill and him were playing together last time?

Anyway which brings us to notice again that Steve Waugh is God...wonder what he is going to do in the future relating to Cricket

Does it even matter who goes first? I don't think so; they both probably won't last for long, and both put together will only add about 10 to 20 runs...

He batted at 10 when Muller played two test matches. I think McGrath went for a duck, and Muller hung around for an hour to score 6 while Warne belted the Pakistan attack.

10 or 20 runs make huge differences sometimes...aah but we have Pakistan here...we'll just have to wait and see then...

For me the 8th wonder of the world is how come such a talented bunch of players of Pakistan keep losing so miserably...oh wait that is also debatable...India is also in the running in this category

maybe they think it's the strongest squad.

Evidently they do. The selectors have a "rotation policy" or whatever they like to call it in ODIs, but they are not in the business of prostituting baggy-greens. Just because something is somewhat experimental, it is not automatically "spawning" or giving a chance to people who don't deserve it.

Don't get me wrong, I know fans on both sides go overboard, but you gotta admit, its getting better.

I, myself, will atmost defend my team/players but not trash other team's, which is what every fan should do. Hell, last time I went overboard was just before the '92 WC when a friend of mine talked crap about Imran Khan.:@ BLASPHEMER!!!! :p
Thats very true. It IS getting better. And believe me watching a Pakistan-India match is as much fun as before PLUS going to the ground and sitting amongst a mixed crowd of fans is a heart-warming experience which it never was in those "Sharjah days" and its like.

Three cheers for the Pakistani fans during Indias trip early last year and same for the Indian public.

The passion has not gone out of the contests as you could see the way Pakistan performed out of thr skins at the one-dayer in Calcutta, but its so nice to see that there is no 'mourning' at the end of a defeat :)

Are you suggesting that women can't play cricket? Or that they couldn't possibly be as good if not better than the men? ***ist overtones...
I never said that women can't play cricket, but yes they certainly aren't at par with men and there are reasons for that. For example fast bowling requies strength which women don't have that much.

However i do respect women cricket and i certainly wasn't trying to degrade them.

I have a very interesting idea, in order to make the series more interesting and competitive, the Australian women's team should be allowed to play against Pakistanis. I believe it will result into a more interesting contest and for a change the match might last for full 5 days to the delight of the ticket payers.

Just imagine, Akhter vs Aussie women batters

Aus women pacers vs Pakistani batsmen.

I think Pak batters would struggle even against the fairer *** :p

I think if such a match proves to be competitive then such matches must be made a regular feature of Aus-pak series!

now where's that don't feed the troll picture.......

Its important for pak selectors , Inzi and their coach to understand that.
