*Official* New Zealand vs India Tests & ODIs

Rik said:
Evedently you've forgotten that New Zealand have scored more runs than India in every match so far, and therefore have won them all...
Whats your point over here??? You come up with a dumb statement just to put down India but your statement has nothing to contribute to the topic being discussed.

The discussion was not about who batted better and won the series but rather the poor performance of batsmen from both team in the series (excluding last onedayer)because of pitches!
I have already said that NZ batters played BETTER and applied BETTER and were the deserving winners.HOWEVER even by their batsmen's standard their performance with the bat in the series was very poor. Why the hell do you think Flemming and Vincent were expressing their dissapointment even when they had been beating India all along??

the NZ selectors have announced an unchanged team for the 3rd ODI at Jade Stadium on Wednesday, so it looks like we will need to wait a bit longer b4 seeing the likes of Adams re-introduced to international cricket......

maybe they are being a bit sensitive re the naming of the WC 15 & have decided to stick with the current team to show confidence in those players even if not selected for the WC, hence they have named the team now rather than let the WC 15 have an impact as such.....if that is the case then I would certainly expect to see some changes made for the rest of the series, as there is little point to continuing to select players who are not going to be part of the WC 15.

as i posted yesterday there was some intersting (heated???) debate amongst the NZ commentary team re their player selections. Everyone wanted Nevin as an opener to partner Astle b4 Fleming gets the chop! Crowe didn't want Sinclair b4 the game but did afterwards, but not McCullum. His choice for backup 'keeper was Vincent. Smith wanted both Sinclair & McCullum but is not a fan of Vincent, even after his innings (does not produce the goods often enough in either form of the game for him). Coney had all of the above but was the only one to leave out Harris! Said his run rate in the final 10 overs is too low & his type of bowling will be ineffective on the pitches in SA. All the commentary team indicated that they believe the team line ups will include a 4 man pace attack, and that slow - medium pacers could become cannon fodder on the SA wickets (so pace or spin, but nothing in between)!!!!

:)

I'd like to remind you that you said that no other team in the world could have done as well as India on those pitches so I reminded you that New Zealand had batted better in every match. Also stop taking things so personally, it threatens to turn the slightest critisism of India into a full on war. Chill!

IMO, once we're talking about NZ and India and not bashing anyone, the discussion is on topic and comments therefore do contribute to the discussion.

Logic and facts always seems to scupper certain people!

I also dare to suggest that England, Pakistan (full strength), and West Indies would've done better than that in addition to Australia and South Africa.

It's fair to say that the Indians were at a disadvantage playing on green seaming wickets when they are used to playing on slow low turners, but to say that is the best any other team could do is a bit odd, I mean what about teams which are used to playing on Green Wickets? Like England?

I heard that in the ODI match in Auckland there were widespread disturbances in the field among the spectators.

Never heard of a lot of crowd disturbances in NZ before...what was it all about ?

Didn't I just say something like that?

Perhaps they're bored of having such a pathetic opposition?

LOL! And against whome did i said that none other team's batter would have batted better than India?? The team was obviously New Zealand , the host team. You simply can't include NZ team into that category because then it changes the whole scenario.NZ batted better against INDIAN BOWLERS and NOT against NZ bowlers on that pitches.

And please try to make sense the next time you come up with a post, we don't need a jerry lewis over here, do we?

Obviously your expecting me to read your mind if you think that you can claim any team would not have done better but not mention New Zealand and expect everyone to know what on earth you are on about! Maybe you could try and make sense in the next post as you just keep digging yourself into a deeper hole every post.

Right so instead of:

LOST
LOST
LOST
LOST
LOST

it would be:

LOST
DRAWN
DRAWN
WON
DRAWN

So you want a drawn series every time? India didn't win the series so your wish that India played England in every Test is quite odd.

Would have done better against whome?? is it such a tuff ask for you:rolleyes:  .When playing in NZ, the opponet gottabe Kiwis! Mr MXy got the point and he mentioned SA as a team that could have done better than India.
And you shouldn't talk about sense, considering its something you are least familiar with!

India did win the series played in India:P , also since you have mentioned the results of oneday matches, India also happen to have won more oneday games against England than they have lost against them!
