I have stopped following this series.... it could very well be a 7-0

In a way this may prove to be good for the team....because they as well as the fans who were all too eager to declare India as the WC champs, have been brought down to earth and reality may sink in.
Now the pressure on the team generated by the enormous expectation at home can somewhat ease up, and also they can work on the glaring deficiencies on what was supposed to be their main weapon(batting), to hopefully put up a good fight in SA.

If you two want to play cheap point-scoring at each other's expense, do it through U2U or e-mail, and not over a PUBLIC message board.

I haven't seen the match yet so I'm waiting for the highlights this arvo, but hey statistically it seems like a repeat of Jade where India were not good enough to post any sort of total on what seems to be a reasonable batting track. If the Kiwis could knock off the runs in under 30 overs that would indicate a pitch capable of 300 run totals!!!!!
It should now be plain for even the most die hard Indian supporters to see that the real problem for the Indians on this tour has not been 'doctored pitches', but the lack of form & poor technique & application by their team with the bat, the ball & in the field!!!! It should also be apparent that the Indian batting success has been built on the backs of 2 players - Dravid & Tendulkar!!
India are being whitewashed by a NZ team at the start of their season & with very little competitive cricket behind it. The Kiwi ODI reputation is well below that of Indians, and they have had a number of players unavailable thru injury. The Indians should be very thankful that they are not currently touring Australia, otherwise the results would have been even more embarrasing!!!!
It is too close to the WC for any changes for India, but they need to be looking at their domestic set up NOW if they are to rebuild their ability to play Away from Home!!!!
For the Kiwis this is not the pre WC build up they would have hoped for, and I'm picking that they will bat first in the remaining 2 ODIs given the opportunity!!!!

Completely agreed! I think some members avatar and Signatures are stupid and these people can do better than that.If the moderators were really serious in avoiding heated argumnets, then they shouldn't let members use such inflamatory avatars!
