Woo.. marvellous victory .. for some reason i didnt think we'd lose after India posted 278...and i was hoping to god my feeling would be true..
Bond. 11 wickets @ an average of under 10 made it pretty easy for the judges.Sir Redman said:Well that was a great win!! Astle played an excellent knock, its so good to have someone who actually goes on with his starts.
The biggest disappointment of the tour has been Marshall by a long way. Every game he has just got out in a pretty innocuous way, and that continued today. It looked like he wasn't ready when the ball was bowled, since he only lifted his head while Sehwag was in his delivery stride. As a result he was hurried by a ball that he should have worked for a single comfortably.
Who was the Man of the Series by the way?
He was the most likely choice, but I thought Kaif was an option.Voltman said:Bond. 11 wickets @ an average of under 10 made it pretty easy for the judges.
ermm but the indian bowlers held up so well throughout the tournament ...as for the bowling, its been used to being pathetic

But he won't be a bad replacement for Sachin, given his good form here. And he is brilliant at Short leg, something INdia needs with guys like Kumble in the side.Dasa said:Never. Kaif doesn't compare to Laxman in Tests.
me too. And I always get screamed at by my parents for shouting at them when India loses. I wonder if I should go back to the days when I KNEW India would lose everytime.Jono said:Lol, not for me. I still get p*ssed off and vent my frustrations either on this board, or to my mates and family.
I disagree that it was close. IMO New Zealand would have chased down 300 or more after that start last night. The only reason it seemed close at the end is that after NZ's cracking start - high runrate with wickets in hand -they clearly just paced the innings after that.Sanz said:Somehow, I dont really feel that bad after this loss. Probably because First of all I wasn't expecting them to score 276, then despite giving so many runs early in NZ innings, we were very match in the match untill the Bhajji Over when Astle hit him for a six and a total 17 runs in that over (so much for Sourav not using his spinners). India were still in the match and only if Nehra and company had fielded better, it could have been even more close.
I thought Kaif has been very good in this series. Don't see how Bond deserved it more than Kaif, to be honest. I am getting tired of this losing team don't get MOTS awards.... because in that case, no Indian will never get a MOTS award.Voltman said:Bond. 11 wickets @ an average of under 10 made it pretty easy for the judges.

Perhaps your team should win more often.honestbharani said:I thought Kaif has been very good in this series. Don't see how Bond deserved it more than Kaif, to be honest. I am getting tired of this losing team don't get MOTS awards.... because in that case, no Indian will never get a MOTS award.
Would you say that this series has cemented his position at 3 in the order for a long time?Jono said:I'd like to see Kaif at 3 for many matches to come. I think he has what it takes to be successful. Our pacers on the other hand...
Not looking at his recent ODI form.shaka said:wasn't Kumble dropped for the series, it was a harsh call.
That wouldn`t work either.James said:
