from what I saw v PAK & RSA Tuffey had a pretty good seam position.........he was able to trouble most of the PAK bastmen with seam movement off fairly flat tracks in the tests.....
well it is strange but his seam position here has been horrible in both tests. martin's still got the seam position that he had against SA though, just not the accuracy or pace.

well it hasnt really been that easy for batting out there.....theres been plenty of poor bowling(and fielding) from both teams.
Oh yes agreed there, but if you had seen how much Saggers/Hoggard were swinging it on day 1/2 you would see that the swing aspect has gone down alot, it's now just a case of the ball mis behaving on a lenght... it's the low one that it the danger ball and the pitch isn't great but if both teams can score 409 & 500+ so far it can't be a real shocker.

What do we reckon then? Get a lead of 150 and then the declaration before unleashing Harmo and the boys to try and grab two or three quick ones before stumps?

Could be interesting - if we pitch it up I think there's a chance of a chase after tea tomorrow!

Re:Duke balls

They've had plenty of chance to get used to it now though. Although in an interview with Martin (?), he did say before this Test that they were still struggling.

They've been in the UK over a month now!!!Surely it can't be that difficult??

From reports I've heard, Jacob Oram has deserved his wickets far more than Harmison in the current series.
Difference being Harmison getting 12 and Oram 3 (and the wickets he got were in general deserved)

Then there's Heath Streak...
Hmm, OK...

A big score when you have the chance to keep the series alive looks a lot better then when the series is over.

Right, so we'll scrub Lara's 400 out pof the record books then because the series was over, so it "doesn't look as good as if it were in a live game" shall we? 8-)

hopefully we see more innings like these from him in the future instead of some of those sarwan terminating innings
Until he gets out...

But at the end of the day, he's still scored 94!

Hey i dont like it anymore than u do.. but our bowlers are simply NOT preforming.. there aint much he can do

He could always slow the game down to try and prevent us getting the overs in.

"Saturday afternoon cricket that was. A dreadful ball" ~ Jonathan Agnew as Tuffey bowls a four byes ball.

Tuffey has got the yips man. Totally lost the plot.

Franklin has been brought into the Test squad and there is still no news on the severity of Vettori's hamstring tear. Note I said 'tear' so doesn't look promising.

From all reports England didn't particularly bowl well (or catch Papps well)

If Vettori goes off and Papps is also off... who comes on to field, out of curiosity? McMillan's also a no-go... Mills is already on for Papps... Sinclair around?
Bond is out there (or he was a while back)

Jeremy Coney has just gone down to the nets and intends to make himself available for Thursday
